Hi guys. Quick question. Can someone please tell me the time period that this figure is supposed to resemble? I have been looking up pictures and I cannot find a look that matches this figure. Can someone please post a picture that this figure is modeled after? Thank you!

Suppose to be around 85-88...the problem is it looks nothing like JJ

I'm assuming that JJ Dillon is supposed to be a companion piece to the Horsemen Hall of Fame set, so the Barry Windham years. I think the facial expression is this picture, but the hair is off:

Figure o' the year, in my humble estimation. Face sculpt is a thing of beauty...

While I think the likeness is there. The head is to large especially on the body they used. They should have used the Heenan torso.

To be fair, I dont have it in hand yet so I'm just going off pics. If you just showed me the head and said "who's this?"...I would never guess JJ. Who knows, maybe it's the yellow hair. Still dont understand why mattel assumes blonde is either yellow or light brown.

Figure o' the year, in my humble estimation. Face sculpt is a thing of beauty... Objectively speaking, how can this be figure of the year when it literally is just a face sculpt? The body is a generic suit body and THAT is even inaccurate because JJ wasn't that thin. I haven't come across yellow tinted glasses AND frames like he comes with. Even if they gave him IRS glasses it would have been more appropriate. I question the loose criteria to warrant figure of the year accolades.

I really like the JJ. The glasses actually stay on his head (even though there is no holes to hold them in place) and it looks good imo.

Because as a Horsemen completist, we finally have a Dillon fig. Never thought I would see the day! Bring on Roma and Ole

Y'all like to pick out Mattel's misgivings, and crucify Bill. Because there's nothing more exhilarating than pointing out the shortcomings of others, is there???
I am not as particular as any of you. Just thrilled to have JJ. I even mix scales and toy lines in my shelves! What a concept!!!
