It’s been awhile since I have had to use Brick Seek for Mattel’s but I tried it today and it doesn’t show an exact quantity anymore. Is there a way to change this? Or work around? Is this just for Mattel’s?

Target doesn't show quantity anymore. Wal-Mart still does, though.

Target doesn't show quantity anymore. Wal-Mart still does, though. It sucks because that's how I differentiated between same old crap and new shipment. If it told me HOF had 2 figures in stock, I knew it was Tito. If it told me they had 10 in stock, I knew something new came in. It was incredibly useful. Now Brickseek is virtually useless because the series all have the same DCPI and HOC Eddie Guerrero is never going to sell through. So now every time I want to check if #DIY came in, I have to physically drive there.

Is this just for Mattel’s? Thank the scalpers for pulling the plug on target brickseek. I used it several times to actually find stuff just for myself. The good old days...

If I’m not mistaken, there’s In stock, limited stock, and out of stock. I had heard that limited stock was shown when there were 1 or 2 figures left of that assortment on the pegs, so I tested it out and bought one of the three HOC figures left and Brickseek updated to the “limited stock” listing.
It’s not as good as knowing exactly how many are on hand, but if you know there’s only 2 of the set you want left and all of a sudden BS switches to “in stock” it’s time to make the trip in and see what got restocked.

That's not guaranteed unfortunately as there have been stores that had like 7 of a wave on the floor and on their scanners but would say out of stock for days despite inventory.

How would that help me if I have one Target in my city and it doesn't tell me what the actual quantity is? Because you watch for when the store spikes up the list of stores in your area. If it was ranked lower the day before and now is one of the top stores in the area they got more product in.

Brickseek had a message a while back that in order to keep their partnership with Target that Target demanded that quantity be removed from the website.
I’ve never seen a retail chain so against selling stock. Scalpers suck but even genuine good people get treated like crap when simply asking if an item is in stock (and not just toys).

Aparently Target saw it as a way to get ride of consumers looking to buy their products who they were annoyed by.

Brickseek is only good for Target if you do the following.
- Go to the store often and know what’s on the shelves.
- You need to search by Quantity.
- You have to pay attention to changes such as In Stock/Linited Stock/Out of Stock.
Hope that helps.

For me, Brxckseek doesn't work at all. I've been looking for new Retros at Target -- Brickseek kept showing nothing. Just to check, I put in the UPCs for Ambrose, Rollins, and Goldberg. Every Target near me has multiples of each. Yet according to Brickseek, every Target has ZERO left of each figure. Am I doing something wrong?

This is very true. Out of every major retailer out there, Target is the only one that seems to have these problems. Perhaps if they actually ordered the proper amount of stock...and then actually stocked shelves...people wouldn't need to pester employees so much. Speaking of that, I've also noticed a change in the fact that employees never ask if they can help me with anything anymore. They used to all the time. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: I live in the middle of five Targets, and they all pretty much suck. They only seem to be current when they're moving the department around, and then that's it until the next reset. You didn't get it then? You're ass out.

How can they even know what they actually have? Then you have things getting clearanced and people picking up discounted new sets while some stores never see any. I remember when people were getting Heenan families for the $12 Horsemen price while others never got them or HoF 3 apparently. I’ve never had a terrible issue finding what I want but I can see it being super frustrating for others to see us get HoC 2 for $6 while they look at full price Eddies and Takers

No, definitely not guaranteed. There will always be some reports here and there that are way off. But in my travels, the vast majority have been close, and that’s East Coast from as North as Buffalo New York and as South as Tamp Florida, and all points in between where I live in Maryland. I don’t know how Target and Walmart do their receiving, but if it’s anything like Costco, there’s a ton of room for errors like coding one item as another. Maybe that’s why you’ve seen one with 7 instock (almost a full case) when it wasn’t listed in BS. One of my Walmart’s has been listed as having 4 FB basics on the shelves that haven’t been there for a month. When we first got them someone broke open 2 to steal the BAF piece, and then someone did the same with the last two. Last week someone updated the inventory (possibly auditors doing loss investigations) and now it shows 0 on hand.
