This has happened to me a few times now so I thought I'd share just in case anyone was still waiting for a call. Last night I went on their website and looked at in store pick up availability and the store I ordered it from had them in stock. I went there and bought one. Never got a call and when I asked the guy, He said no order was found regardless of showing my confirmation number. He said figures are too hard to keep up with as far as pre orders. So if you are still waiting, go online or call and see if you store has it

I just got my pre-order call for the Macho Man Retrofest figure LAST WEEK. I pre-ordered it earlier in the year. I've been in that store at least a dozen times since I pre-ordered it and they've always had 4-5 of them in stock at all times. Really weird.

Do you guys have an account with Gamestop? Even the freebie account? I only have the free account and I've ordered a ton of Pops and figures from my local store and they've always gotten them in and always called me.

I was just checking around on the site to see if any stores had them available. Several stores including my nearest one came up in the Pick Up at Store option. Through a laggy internet and a general inexperience with the site I accidentally put in a request to reserve one. 20 minutes later I received an email saying it was ready for pickup.
So that's how I got my Honky last night.

I went in store and pre ordered and paid in full for a couple royal guards in the star wars black series. They had my order in the system but never got mine in. Had to cancel and get a refund. Ordered another Star Wars figure, can't remember which, but they never called so I found it on their shelf but didn't ask about it to see if they would ever call. They didn't. And now this. I'm 0-3 with them. I hope the preorder I have getting mailed to me in January comes through.

Honestly, it sounds to me like the associates at your store either don't give a crapor don't know how to give a shit. Gamestop doesn't treat their collectibles like one figure is the same as any other figure like Walmart, Target, and Walgreens do. Each item has its own number and description. So their "it's too hard" line is a hugging cop out. All they have to do is check when they're unboxing the stuff, instead of just unboxing it and putting it on the shelf. I'm not a Karen by nature, but in this case you need to say something to the manager, and if the manager is the one who told you that, then go above him. That's crap. Preorders are Gamestop's life blood. Let a DM find out this is going on. Guaranteed it'll change, or the manager will.

You can request to be contacted about issues you had while shopping at the store.

Have never had an issue with a preorder I have placed for in store pickup. Have always received the call once it arrived. It’s probably a specific location issue, not an overall GameStop issue.

It probably is which is a shame cause they are .8 miles from my house. Now I gotta drive almost 10 miles further for one

So I preordered the Macho and everything worked fine. I didn’t preorder the HBK but bought him anyways. But I DID preorder HTM and I didn’t get a call. I go to the store I preordered and two are sitting on the shelf. So in other words, if I don’t preorder to have shipped to me directly (where I pay for it before release) I won’t be preordering these anymore. There is literally no point.
