You and your boyfriend might be the two dumbest people on the planet. You just don't get it, do you? The referees (doesn't matter who's playing the Penguins) LIKE I SAID ALL ALONG are going to make sure the Penguins win in close games. Absolutely no doubt about it. It was true against Ottawa, it's true today. You can say whatever you want, if you can't admit the officiating in this series and your last series has been ridiculously in the Penguins' favors, well...I'll leave it at that. No how about we leave it at you being a bitchy moany New York fan. I didn't think you could surpass being as bad as Boston fans but christ.. There was no close games against Ottawa.. we outscored them 16 to ing 5. Except for malone's third period goal that one game and thats it No one is favoring the ing penguins, we outplayed New York today and that is that really.. start rooting for detroit or something You did outplay us...you and the refs and Bettman outplayed the Rangers, and will outplay everyone else for the rest of the playoffs until Cindy has his Cup! You guys win!

Yeah, like when he punched Gill in the face? Haha. I loved it! When the Penguins took a 2-0 series lead? HAHA. I loved it! You mean when "The NHL and Gary Bettman's 100% endorsed" Penguins took a 2-0 series lead...that's what you meant to say, right?

WOULD YOU ALL SHUT UP! I hate both teams, and yes, IMO the refs are on the Penguins side. And I'm a Tampa Bay fan. Now shut the hell up!

I love it. The best part is the New York media and their coach started all this before the puck ever dropped. It's gotten to the fans and even their own players heads. You successfully created a bigger distraction then your holier than thou pest Avery. Keep whining. Keep crying. Keep being paranoid and delusional. We'll keep playing our game and this series will be over in no time. You'll have the entire off-season to keep crying.
I'm done responding to the know it all Rags fans for the rest of this series.

Why do you think fans of OTHER TEAMS have come out in this thread and said the refs are on the Pens' sides? Please tell me. Please...

I'm done responding to the know it all Rags fans for the rest of this series. There the Crosby talk is over! The game was a very good close game. Jordan Staal's goal was pretty nice. Lundqvist and Fleury both played amazing and proved for both that the reason why they gave up so many goals last game was because of rust.

I was visiting another NHL message board and apparently there has been some questioning of a particular rule that may have pertained to today's game. I took the time to look up the rule and here are my findings: Rule 81 Puck Out of SightShould a scramble take place or a player accidentally fall on the puck and the puck be out of sight of the Referee, he shall immediately blow his whistle and stop the play. The puck shall then be faced-off at the point where the play was stopped unless otherwise provided for in the Rules.www.nhl.com/hockeyu/rulebook/rule81.htmlSeems pretty clear cut to me.

My thoughts on this game:
- Lundqvist was outstanding, did not to lose.
- Fleury was GOOD. Not great, but good. He has yet to face a tough shot in either game in this series and was not tested at all today.
- Our offense was terrible. We're playing the same type of game we did against the Devils, where we let them come at us and wait to find a mistake to try and capitalize on. Problem is, the Penguins are much better offensively than the Devils.
- We need more offensive production, as well. We aren't crashing the net or getting any good scoring chances whatsoever.
- Our Power Play is a disaster. Parking Shanny in front of the net is just stupid. You need to have him open in the slot to utilize his quick release.
- The officiating was atrocious and without a doubt cost us this game. We were responsible for losing Game 1, but the officiating in the Penguins' favor is just hilarious.
Game 3 is our season. We're going to lose this series because the refs have, and will continue to, screw us over in any games that are close and down to the wire. The most frustrating part of this entire series is that if you erase the Penguins-biased officials, both of these games were winnable for us because we have not been outplayed.

This is why challenges should be able to be made in hockey.
That went by Fleury, simple as that. Not quickly, but it did. Fleury didn't stop it, nor did he have control over it.
Either way, being a Flyers fan I can say that it does appear the officials are in favor of the Penguins. Am I saying that they are? No. Because I just can't see that happening. Do I feel it seems that way? Yes.
- Crosby didn't dive, he was held and taken down. Good call. - The puck went by Fleury and should've been called a goal. Terrible call. - Avery continued being the pest he is, but whatever and it accomplished nothing.
I'm not a Rangers fan, nor am I a Penguins fan. But it does seem the Rangers are getting the raw end of the deal in this series.
- Triple S

Today's Fun Stats: Penalties: NYR - 6 PIT - 7 Shots on Goal NYR- 26 PIT- 32 Just stop. You're making yourself look foolish. Several other people here have backed up everything that I've said, so just don't try and defend your argument anymore. Do what you do best: celebrate and post pictures of Cindy from your personal collection. But please do not continue to try and talk hockey with us who know what the game is about without viewing it through the black and gold goggles. Sam Rosen, Stan Fischler - two of the most unbiased hockey announcers in the history of the game - both say Cindy works the refs.

If the whistle was blown prior to the puck going in how can it possibly count? The distraction from the whistle could have caused the goalie to take his eye off of it. If the whistle is effecting the play, then it shouldn't count based on that alone.

It's an unwritten rule (ESPECIALLY in the playoffs) that you don't blow quick whistles or make pansy calls. You let the boys play hockey and have them decide who the better team is on the ice. The referees have clearly NOT done that in this series.

Anyone notice how Sean Avery pulled the linesman in front of him and ducked his head after Gill dropped his gloves? Talk about gutless...

What I saw was Avery give Fleury a shot, get into it with Gill and then the refs try and separate it when the whole team of Penguins tried to gang up on him.
It's funny how things look when you have the black and gold # 87 goggles on.
