Down 3-0 now. Everything is over but the fat lady singing. Flyers just keep turning over the puck, repeatedly, every time they got possession. It's really killing me watching them do it over and over. Without Timmonen and Coburn, our defense took a major hit, and I just had a gut feeling from the start that we couldn't overcome it.

As long as I can see them in HD, I'm good. I have never cared that much about High Def, but holy hell it makes hockey look so crisp. I can always tell where the puck is. In years past I would watch the games on CBC because Canadians love hockey in a way Americans rarely do. (It means something to them, where with US channels it feels like they're just wasting time until the start of he new NFL season.) But until I get a CBC-HD channel, I will watch VS-HD or NBC-HD. Then switch to CBC during Intermission. Gotta get my Don Cherry fix, eh!

I thought the officiating in last nights game really killed any flow the game had. Ever three seconds it was a hooking or something else.
Anyways, Hossa's first and Malones goal were insane. Detroit/Pittsburgh will be one helluva Cup Final, although I don't see either team having an easy time.

This series is over....for good. Too many turnovers, Too many missed opportunities. Well it was good while it lasted. I think Detroit/Pittsburgh will be a good match up. I think Detroit is way more powerful though...
Oh well.......Back to the Phillies......

Looks like Im gonna win our little bet. That Penguins sig is coming along great by the way, just so you know. And that game last night was just a wash out tbh.

Well as it looks now i believe this stanley cup final will be amazing .. Detroit and Pittsburgh are going to put on quite a show... In all reality it looks to me that Detroit has the upperhand...Thing i am worried about tho is that philadephia and dallas cannot penetrate into the offensive zone bc the defense of both detroit and pittsburgh is way solid i hope we dont see 7 games played in the neutral zone ya know? On a side note i kinda feel bad for the flyers that had such an amazing playoff run and for them to be one loss away from elimination this early is really a shame

Don Cherry is a God here. i don't know if they're in America but he has a chain of sports bars called simply "Don Cherry's". it's always great to break out your team's jersey, head to Don's, order some nachos and beer and watch it on the big screen with a bunch of friends. it's also a no-no to like an American team...unless it's original 6. at least that's what i've encountered with my Canadian counterparts...esspecially the older ones.

I'm guessing there is a CBC-HD channel but I don't get it here in the USA. Sadly we have no Don Cherry's bars here either. We do have a few Cheli's, which are restaurants owned by defenseman Chris Chelios. I've never been there, but apparently they are famous for Cheli's Chili. I think it's worth tuning into Coach's Corner just to see what outlandish outfit Don Cherry is wearing. Hardly a man alive who can pull off a pink plaid suit, but by God he can!

Amen, if I could wear Don Cherrys suits around school, I would in a heartbeat. I like CBC better because of that and I like listening to announcers rather than VS's annoucers
