Well shit, another playoff season is over, which means I'll have to wait until the next playoff season to see any games, maybe ESPN will start sign a contract with the NHL and start showing the games again. I would think that this series has hopefully brought some new fans in and maybe hockey can regain some of its popularity.
Either way, next year New Jersey will win it, and all will be right with the world again.

Here's to next year, where Mike Richards as the new Captain of the Flyers can hold that trophy high! *crosses fingers* But you would have to beat the wings..

I can't wait until free agency starts...Sather is going to screw up the Rangers sooo badly. At least then, I'll have something new to complain about if he lets Avery walk.

Seeing those jerkoffs lose on their home ice even after the referees gave them every opportunity to win might be the best moment of the entire hockey season. Absolutely sickening refereeing display. Datsyuk got tripped, no call. On Pitt's second goal, Malone slashes a Detroit's player's stick, no call. Suck it, Penguins. The NHL gave them the Cup gift-wrapped with a bow on it and Pittsburgh couldn't tear open the package. Dude, you. Stop being bitter about the Rangers losing, you prick. Congrats to the Detroit Red Wings on an awesome year. Obviously they were the better team, but I do not care what anybody says, the Penguins deserve all the credit in the world for fighting back after at 2-0 series, then a 3-1 series. I give the Pens a lot of credit for not giving up during the last 1:10 of the game. Hoss' goal at the end was great, and to come that close, centimeters away from tying the game with 2 seconds left was breathtaking, yet heartbreaking. Oh well, what can you do? Detroit was the most dominant team in the series and Pittsburgh was overwhelmed. In my honest opinion and not as a Penguins fan, I honestly feel the Penguins will win the Cup next year. With all the talent, and now the Stanley Cup experience, they will be a bigger force to be reckoned with. Way to go Pittsburgh on a memorable year, and a great, courageous run in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. You guys do not have anything to be ashamed of! LETS GO PENS!!!! And again, congratulations to the Detroit Red Wings.

It was so awesome to see Cleary being handed the Cup. I was afraid they'd give the Conn Smythe to Osgood, but I'm thrilled that it went to the deserving Zetterberg. Not that Osgood didn't play well, but Zetterberg is otherworldly. It's a shame that the Cup winning goal was what it was, but it was a pretty intense finish.

Thug, let it go man. If the Bettman and the officials really wanted the Penguins to win the cup (like I thought in the Penguins/Rangers series and the beginning of the Penguins/Flyers series), wouldn't they have done a much better job than they did tonight? I mean, you'd think MORE penalties would've been called against the Wings, that Zetterberg goal would've been called back or even play would've been called dead.
IF (and I mean if) the officials were in the pocket of Pittsburgh at any point in the playoffs, they stopped tonight.
As for wholeFNshow, I wouldn't jump the gun on that one man. We haven't even seen what next year's teams can do. I mean more than likely Hossa will be gone from Pittsburgh, along with free agents, minors, etc. Wouldn't make any predictions until at least the regular season begins.

Congrats to the Wings. There's no shame to losing to a team like that. The Penguins are still extremely young and they won't be going anywhere. Gretzky and the Oilers were swept there first go around, so no worries. I'm happy to see my favorite St. Louis Blue of all time (besides Dougie Weight), Dallas Drake win one. It'll be sad to see Hossa, Roberts, and probably Orpik go.
To the bitter Rangers and Flyers fans: it's sad you take more joy over another team losing than your own winning. Sucks to be you. Keep spouting your delusions and conspiracies. Losers.

Eh, once again... a Penguins fan bitter about their loss, needs to bring up their former opponents. Haha.
Your precious little boy Crosby doesn't get to hold that cup above his head, waaaaah!
Penguins were the better team in their series against the Flyers, but the Wings were clearly the better team in this series.

ThugSuperstar, get over it man. no body should be that bitter.. and whining so much is beyond annoying now and if you wanna talk about non calls, there should have been two interference calls on Detroit and there wasn't. Officiating was bad.. and not just in the Pens favor.
I honestly thought I would be banging my head off a wall and burning all my penguins crapbut really I'm not even mad. It was probably the best season I've ever experienced as a Pens fan (91 & 92 I was only 5 years old.. not old enough to appreciate) and they fought til the end even though they were outplayed in every game. The best team in the league won, and you can't be mad at that at all. It's disappointing to know we we're clearly not in the Wings league, but there's still plenty of light at the end of the tunnel for Pens fans, I don't see a reason to be down.
Thank you Penguins for a fantastic season, and Congrats to the Wings and their fans. I can only hope the Pens are one day in the position the Wings are now.

What a fantastic season, congrats to the Wings for a very well deserved Stanley Cup. And congrats to the Pens for giving me a reason to enjoy hockey again, and making the Stanley Cup. I feel good for the wings, so good season to all. And I'll see you next season!

Keep spouting your delusions and conspiracies. Losers. Exactly the reason I took so much joy in seeing the Penguins lose. We're division rivals, buddy. This is the way it works. Most Flyers, Devils, Islanders (maybe not since they weren't in the playoffs) and Rangers fans are all glad to see the Penguins lose. You're telling me that if it was the Flyers or Rangers losing in the Finals, you wouldn't be happy? Please. Penguins fans gave me crapwhen the Rangers were knocked out, now the shoe is on the other foot. I gave the Penguins credit. I said they're the best team in the East, were the better team and outplayed the Rangers, and will be the team to beat in the East next season no matter what happens in the FA market. I understand you don't believe that the NHL was pulling for Pittsburgh to win this (even though I still believe it to be 100% true), but what do you care what some random Rangers fan thinks anyway?
