Did the crowd realize one of those guys was a fake Canadian? Well the ironic thing was, they beat Edge and Benoit for the Tag Titles, who were two Canadians as well. I think they just loved that it was 'two' Quebec boys winning the belts in Quebec.
Plus we Canadians will cheer on anyone that picks our country over their own. We cheered Pillman, Neidhart, and Doug Furnas back in 1997.
Yeah. You guys cheer who we boo and boo who we cheer. It's bizarro world as JBL used to say

It's a shame we never got to see Conway win a lower card singles title. Was the European title gone by the time he went single? I can't quite remember.

It's a shame we never got to see Conway win a lower card singles title. Was the European title gone by the time he went single? I can't quite remember. Pretty sure it was. If I'm not mistaken, Conway became The Con-Man in....2005?
