Open them up. These are mass produced toys and have zero re-sale value. Nothing produced in this day and age is "rare" and should you sell you'd be lucky to break even.
Open them up, enjoy them, and have those boxes not take up so much space.
It's completely up to you, but that's my opinion and what I do with my stuff.

I don't know, the E16 Diesel and E12 Kane go for $80 dollars or more on eBay. Legends S5 Rick Martel and Akeem are also hard to find for under $50 on eBay as well. And, yes, even though they are massed produced now, that doesn't mean in 15-20 years down the road these will be readily available. And if some people are trying to finish the collection they started, they might buy someone else figure for a lot of money. Just look at the Hasbro line, they were readily available back in the 90s, but now they can go for large sums of money - especially the MOC ones.

So people should only ever collect what they can see/have on display - and nothing more? No -- but that's different than this guy -- who has 90 PERCENT of what he's collected not on display. What is the point? Well, just because you can't display something, doesn't mean you can't get enjoyment from collecting/having it... I've been collecting for about 25 years now and I'd say over 95% of my collection is in storage/not on display - at the end of the day, I'd rather have a big collection of all the figures/things I want than a much smaller collection of just/mainly things I can display. That's just me though.

So I decided to take the common ones out and leave the exclusives in the box. I just tried to take the first one out of the package and I almost hyperventilated cutting the tape on the box.
I guess they are staying MOC lol

I had a small house (basically a summer bungalow) back in 2010 when Mattel started, I had every elite moc 2010-2013, then it just became overwhelming, I opened them all except my fav guys...fast forward to 2014, I have a huge basement plenty of room to hang them on the walls & wish I had all those series moc still lol
