With respect, how do you know? The ONLY Store in the UK that sells current/regular series Elites at retail price is Smyths - and they have gone from only stocking 5 figures per series, to 4 - and now (apparently) none at all. @ bill on Twitter, ask him. ...great, lol. As I said, no-one seems to know if Smyths will be getting future Elite series, which is very worrying - especially as TRU are no longer around either.

I have come to the decision that from now on, I will only collect Flashbacks. With the uncertainty currently surrounding the Elite line in the UK, I will be saving money - to get the more expensive Flashback figures that aren't readily available over here.
The fact that having to pay the expense of import charges too, on most of these figures - whilst on a fixed income has also played a major role in my decision.
plus, while I do still watch and enjoy the current product - my heart truly lies in Wrestlings past.
so... BRING ON MORE FLASHBACKS!!!

I just hope this situation gets sorted out, it's bad enough not having a shop near me that does Elite figures, but it gets tiring when a UK champion is a Target Exclusive, it kinda defy's all target audiences

I honestly think end of the month/early November we will see some updated stock
They are probably just trying to sell up what stock they have at the moment. Some people would have already started Xmas shopping. However at the end of the day they are a toy company and they aren't going to miss out on the Christmas market
Personal gripe of mine is whoever is choosing what figures to stock per series. Either stock both of a tag team or neither.
The fun of collecting for me was always going into different shops and seeing what they've in stock. At the moment in Ireland its Smyth's or bust.
Some people on here are of the view if you can't afford it don't call yourself a collector. In mine however its paying way over the odds for figures due to postage/customs/mark up
A normal elite line figure bought online overseas is going to leave you left with a few coins out of €40
Also EG Balor is €38.99 currently in shops and online. Jeff/Roode/Kurt all have been sold at that price and are still floating around even reduced to €24.99
Wrestlemania basics were selling at €16.99, battle packs €32.99 and the lesnar/taker elites at €36.99
In my humble opinion prices are too high online for UK/Irish buyers at the moment

Well with the news that TRU is getting rebranded as "Geoffrey's Toy Box" or whatever, I imagine a solid chunk of their stores will reopen, at least here in the states. Has to be hope that some would open back up in the UK no?

Egg on my face then. I can't say I looked into the rebranding at all, I just saw that it was happening and I saw the goofy AF logo and just assumed some stores would open back up under a new name and management. My bad.

I didn't even really know they had their own brand toys before reading about the relaunch. Geoffrey showing up at Toy Fair apparently angered other toy companies a lot, because they still haven't been paid by TRU's liquidators yet, and now TRU is back trying to take shelf space from them in other stores.

I can't imagine the UK will loose the elite line all together, I totally get it's getting harder and harder to find and buy figures here in the UK. As Mattel bring out all these different lines and exclusive figures we just don't get them over here as much (Hall of Champions and Flashback Elites come to mind) I see most of the time when somewhere does have the figures they are extremely pricey, I personally disagree with paying £40/£50 for elite figures. Maybe we need to get on the bulk orders with Mattel and start our own figure retailer up?
About 15 years ago I used an independent toy store not far from my house, they were not £££ and it got to the point that every month the owner of the store would keep the latest stock he got from Jakks until I had seen in the boxes and picked what figures I wanted! Wouldn't that be nice these days?

Wouldn't that be nice these days? Its a nice dream to start a toy retailer, but who has the money to do it? The bulk orders youd need to place would be huge, not to mention this country being so heavily taxed, it take someone very wealthy to do it on the scale needed, then of course theres the issue of exclusives, the hard to get figures are US store exclusives, so you wouldnt be able to order those anyway

How times have changed? I do also agree with the bulk of this thread that it is getting harder and harder for us UK fans to grab the figures

If the above is true and i havent seen it myself, itll be a huge blow for Mattel if Smyths, the biggest toy store in the UK & Ireland, stop buying Elites, itd be interesting to know the logic behind not ordering Elites so close to Christmas

Its really sad but it seems we just don't have a big enough market here to warrant companies stocking them

I mean I've said it before but just to echo it.. I'm not saying that the line has gone, chances are good it's not, chances are good it's an error and their customer service guys are just looking at the site saying "eh, it's not there, so we mustn't be getting it". I hope this is the case
BUT, everyone making their know it all comments "lol ur not losing the line!", you don't know anything. You can speculate, but you don't know. You walk into any Smyths store and yeah, it looks impressive! This massive wall of figures, a cavalcade of characters. Basics, Elites, Battlepacks, all that good stuff. But you know, is it that impressive if you walk in a week later and it looks exactly the same? and the week after, and the week after and... you get the picture.
It's easy to say "Well Smyths has always stocked Elites and they're not gonna stop". Why? People stopped renting videos, Blockbuster died. People haven't stopped buying wrestling figures, but they've curved their buying habits to such an extent that when you look at the shelves they've become an unbrowseable mess. I think some people think Smyths provide a public service. Like their sole purpose is to make sure absolutely everyone's needs are catered to no matter how obscure. It's not. They're a business. When the cow stops producing milk, the cow is surplus to requirements

There has to be a better solution - smyths stick huge quantities, that's why they end up in pegs. Why not just order less?
It was retweeted about 20 hours ago by wrestling daze if you check his twitter page - was from the asksmyths official twitter. Normally when asked about stock they say they don't know and to keep checking so the fact they are so certain about this is disheartening

When the cow stops producing milk, the cow is surplus to requirements People stopped renting videos because they could rent dvds, people stopped renting dvds because they can watch on sky cinema, or some streaming service(very techy me lol) you cant stream a toy, so that argument doesnt stack up, as with everything, there are peaks and troughs, WWE was at a peak, Smyths started ordering too much product so a lot rotted when WWE hit a trough, if they just reduced their order and reduced the stock they were holding it wouldnt be an issue, they need a huge clearout and then back to ordering a sensible quantity, because not too long ago stuff wasnt rotting on shelves like it is now, i remember going in, within the last 18 months and seeing stacks on the top of the racks, only to see that gone a week a later, so it used to sell, i dont know if the costs of the figures means that they need to order such huge quantities to make a worthwhile profit? Hopefully its temporary to clear overstock

Its good to see wrestling5hop stocking figures but their prices show how unfeasible it is, they only order from Mattel in small quantities and after tax and VAT the figures are too expensive, this country is taxed to the hilt
