Pre-order just went up about an hr ago on the big and bad site. - Jon Snow - Arya Stark - Night King - Daenerys Targaryen April of next yr. Six inch scale. 12 PoA. $20 sticker. Because I needed yet another line to collect :/ but they look great.

Oh sh*t. I didn’t even know these were a thing. Just preordered the 4. Thanks for the heads up! Hopefully these do well and we actually get more than just this first group but we’ve seen Funko fail with two different scales already and Mcfarlane strike out on the building sets. They look awesome though so I’ll go for the ride.

My hope was always that NECA would get the license for this scale, but McFarlane seems to do fine with the TWD figs in the same range so...hoping that line is at least relative to this one. I never got behind the Funko line. Looked a bit too toy-ish to me and everything I saw made them sound incredibly “cheap”...

They were largely pretty good looking figures for the most part but there were tons of qc issues with them. They improved with that in series 2 but it was kind of too late by then. The 3.75” figures were great, but they only did the one wave. The Wall playset is super cool. I’m on the same thought process as you. I like the Walking Dead figures so hopefully these are of the same quality, particularly as far as likenesses go. I think they’ll be an improvement on the Funko figures by default and that’s good enough for me.

Threezero has wet my whistle on anything GOT related when it comes to figures. Expensive? Sure, but at 2-3 a year, I can easily afford the collection. McFarlane figures recently have been great, but I can’t stand Statuesque figures with decent paint when I can go high end with endless posing options.

FINALLY. I’ve been waiting for this for along time. Loved the Funko Legacy figs, even though the paint apps were hit and miss. Hopefully we get a good, long line outta these guys...there’s so many great characters to choose from (I need my Tormund Giantsbane!!)

I think with it being McFarlane we could also get the dragons down the line etc too. Even ancillary characters in the show, I’d love to get. The Viper. Drogo. 100s of possibilities.

I find it strange they jumped in this brand when next year is essentially it. I think it has a lot to do with TWD, which is their current bread n butter in that scale range. I have trouble believing there will be more than 3 more seasons of TWD, and I feel like I’m being generous with that estimate. BUT GoT? A global phenomenon that gives them a thousand characters to make and five other shows are being actively worked on? That’s a sound wager.

I just look at the track record of toys/collectibles that flow with a televised show. Usually the market falls out after the show has run its coarse. I’m excited to see how many fanboys sail away from GOT when the show ends and the spin-offs begin.

Red Viper is a top want for me along with Ned. Funko never getting to Viper was frustrating. Dark Horse put out a version of him but those are too big and don’t move at all.

Found Jon, Dany and the Night King at Target today. Thought it was weird they didn’t have Arya but I still have her preordered through Amazon anyway. These look really solid. Eyes are kind of meh but the paint apps were really good. Pretty big improvement over the Funko figures. Hopefully this line can run fairly deep.

Any chance you have any of the Funko figs to compare scale with? I’m very curious if they’ll be a similar size/look alright displayed together.

So are these made like the McFarlane ‘The Walking Dead’ figures? Height and all?
