The sequel also added multiplayer which was stupid. In a lot of ways, it reminded me of Bioshock 2. Which I barely touched.
The other Bioshocks though.... <3

Some people love Dead Space and hate Bioshock. By chance are you one of those folks? (I had a hard time getting into Bioshock: Infinite... I still have not really touched the DLC content.)

I have all 3, hard copies, and know there's b/w compatible. NEVER really touched them, but currently have DS1 installed. How long does it take before it starts to suck you in? All I hear is how good it is, and I really want to give it an extended shot.

This game was one of the best psychological horror games ever. If only there had been a sequel.....
The game has some serious WTF moments that I won't spoil, that will either drive you nuts, captivate you, or both.
This was the first M-rated game to be released and developed by Nintendo Gamecube.
Your character returns to her fathers' mansion to find out her father was murdered under mysterious circumstances. She takes things into her own hands, and searches through a book the Tomb of Eternal Darkness, which includes other characters within it (which you will get to play). Graphics are very solid for 2002, but not perfect. The environment and lighting makes levels creepy, but at times the game is very dark (no puns intended). The score is great. You search for items and dodge traps just like a lot of adventure games. It is also neat to explore each character's surroundings, as they're based in different points in time in history.
I can't really review this much more without spoiling a lot of the surprises that make the game as thrilling as it is!

The game just throws you in the middle of a Necromorph-infested ship with little ammo and complete darkness. I could always use somebody to get the co-op achievements in Dead Space 3

I have Dead Space 3 on disc. Gamestop employees always get me to buy stuff in advance and I never get around to it. Let's play sometime!

PS Dead Space 1 kind of reminded me of PREY, a game that I REALLY wanted a follow-up to. When they play "Don't Fear the Reaper" and the aliens abduct you....that part of the game is SO cool. I had a special edition I lost when I moved. It also helped invent Portal.
