It's bad news guys. Today I emailed Smyths on Facebook regarding the next elite ways. It looks like smyths supplier has canned all the new elite waves. They didn't give a reason why but this is a bad business decision imo. Hopefully it's not true and it's just a change or something but we will have to see it doesn't look good.i thought this deserved its own thread.powers that be I'll let you decide

I hope it not true and I hope something will get better about this they maybe they working on something even I seen some basics been pulled it don't look good but we will see what happens next but hope they do sell these figures at the end

I’ve had a £15 giftcard there since January that I had intended to spend on the next series of Retros (that plan obviously went well), so I’ve been holding-on to spend it on something interesting like from the Elites to go with my massive collection of that range (two figures is a collection...), so reading this news after the Retros decision is frustrating, and alarming overall for collectors in general. Hopefully the websites will keep our collections going at least like with the Retros.

We all saw it coming - Smyths has had about 150 too many figures in, whenever I’ve been in for the last 2 years, it doesn’t make any sense for them. Internet it is then!!

Just hold out guys and wait and see. Will see at end of year. Toys biggest selling period is Xmas so if they are getting them in theyll be up soon

Im not surprised, ive been saying for ages they dont sell. They warm the shelves real bad, Ive three Smyths stores in my locality, every one of them has elites dropped in price and they still clog the shelves. They even have a hard time selling basics never mind elites. No one is paying £20 for an elite not to mention 32.99 for entrance greats, its just ridiculous. Im thinking of stopping altogether, I cant even get my hands on the upcoming NXT elites and the ringside exclusives are also out of the question because of import charges. Its a hopeless situation, oh and not to mention I cant get the Hall of Champions elites...oh and the flashback elites as well lol. Oh and the womens revolution elites. It is a joke.

This happens! I've been collecting for many many years and one thing I have most certainly noticed is that there is a peak for demand and then a drop off and then a peak again. I can remember times when Toys R us, Argos, Asda and even Wilko I could get figures from and then I remember a time when the only place I could get them around my way was ringside. It will pick up again....we need to be strong.

Even online uk sites have run out of Akam and Rezor figures....it’s getting harder to collect....and more expensive.

Right update. According to Daze. Who's pretty much well up on knowledge of the Smyths stuff. We won't be getting any elite's till 65. Which sucks So online now till next year. Imo this couldn't of come at a worse time. End of day Xmas is around the corner.

Thing is now T&M have really stepped up their game to the point that I'm not even concerned too much about Smyths. I order online anyway so I'm getting them at the same price (or less in the case of E62 Sting)
