Vince McMahon Jim Ross Jerry Lawler Jesse Ventura
I wouldn't put Heenan on a top 4 list of anything even if it was a Top 4 Bobby's list

NXT Graves maybe. On present day ramblings he wouldn't be in my top 20.

I love Corey but I wouldn't yet put him on a Rushmore of commentary.

Mauro on Rushmore... Where’s the laughing option?
JR Heenan King Solie or Gorilla. Take your pick.

JR Jerry Lawler Bobby Heenan Jesse Ventura
JR trying to commentate with these three at the same time would be gold.

Gordon Solie - This is a no brainer, the man is a legend in his own right. Nobody will forget the “Suplay!” Jim Ross - Another no brainer, the voice behind the biggest moments in WWF/E history. Pure passion in his voice all the while telling a story along with the Match Gorilla Monsoon - I’d have him as a duo with Bobby the Brain just because these two made each other great. My favorite broadcast tandem ever Joey Styles - No one did it better when it came to play by play, especially being solo. A pure wrestling fan’s dream commentator

Im gonna have to split this. Play by Play & color are really two different things so I think there should be two separate lists....
Play by Play Gordon Solie Jim Ross Gorilla Monsoon Tony Schiavone
Color Commentary Bobby Heenan Jerry Lawler Jesse Ventura Jim Cornette

These lists need more Tony Schiavone. Anyone remember CM Punk doing commentary?

1. Monsoon: Hands down the voice of WWE at it's peak. The way he not only told the stories with fantasic analogies, but the emphasis he put on the wrestling. So much nuance in his commentary. No commentator since has had the freedom to do what he did, the way he did it. I can't fail to mention how great of a voice he had, old time baseball quality. Miss him.
2. Jesse Ventura: I love Bobby Herman, he's in my top 5 favorite personalities of all time, but the Body was the best heel commentator ever. He really added logic and emphasis on the heels behavior. He was dead serious, very believable in his sincerity. Hilarious in his own right, and also had a great voice.
3. Bobby Heenan: He wasn't as serious or fundamental as Jesse, but his was the wittiest color man ever. So much fun and laughter at his antics.
4. Vince McMahon: Really good storyteller, great flair for the dramatic. Miss his work in the booth.
