I'm trying to think of what other kinds of sports entertainment there are. Pro-wrestling isn't technically a sport it's sports entertainment.

Technically all sports are an offshoot of entertainment I suppose, but that isn't in the spirit of the term McMahon has called his industry. He tried to invent a term because he obviously hates or is embarrassed being associated with the rest of the professional wrestling community.
...Until he is able to position a veteran of the Indy circuit to lose to one of his in-house golden boys. Then he can tout about how his guys are the best "wrestlers".

It was definitely predetermined. Along with (depending on how much you could watch) roller skating tricks/moves, teammates being forced to join opposing/rival teams due to a controversial finish and terrible soap opera style acting.
I may sound bias here, but a grown man on roller skates just reeks of sissiness. And I keep the same opinion on men performing cartwheels as well.

Wasn't there some shootfight style, pancrase or akin to it that was predetermined? IIRC, there were rumors some of the fights in Pancrase were predetermined, but it was mainly a shoot - also featuring a young Ken "Wayne" Shamrock. However, the UFO promotion started around '98 or '99 by Antonio Inoki in Japan was a worked-shoot promotion, and the whole promotion was basically set-up just to do a crossover angle with NJPW at the next Tokyo Dome show. Which basically fell flat on its face.

Paul Heyman once said anything on TV is a form of entertainment. Even things like the news, it has to be delivered in an entertaining way for people to continue to want to watch you. So in reality, anything televised is entertainment.

Double Dare!
When i was a kid, they used to air a show every once in a while called "Battle of the Network Stars". At the time, I though it was awesome.
And I'm just reminded of that awful show that used to air on TNN called Rockin' Bowl.

I'd toss in e-sports. I'm a vocal supporter of e-sports, having traveled two states to the Barclays Center for the Overwatch League Grand Finals. I get why people don't consider it sports...and it's not rough and tumble. But the reflexes and coordination and communication skills needed to succeed are second to none.
