So if Elias comes with a guitar, could we get a Jeff Jarrett eventually? I don't think the guitar accessory is what's in the way of a JJ figure. I'm doubtful that the guitar is the issue as well. That said, the guitar wouldn't match the time period of a Double J I'd want in Retro form. Just grasping and hoping that a guitar with Elias would make it more likely to get a Double J. Lastly, with the HOF induction and Jarrett being featured on Table for 3 and what not, I'm hoping.. maybe.

Knowing Mattel and how much they've screwed up this Retro line, they'll do Diesel for Kevin Nash's surprise return to the Royal Rumble a few years ago!

When is Series 8 rumored for release? Knowing Mattel and how much they've screwed up this Retro line, they'll do Diesel for Kevin Nash's surprise return to the Royal Rumble a few years ago! Interested to hear how you feel they've screwed it up? Jumpers Distribution Repaints Lack of movement variety Poor deco Reuse of Parts Jumpers Strange and inconsistent lineups Price point QC issues Lack of accessories Wrestlers in less desired forms/from wrong era Poor packaging material Jumpers That is a list of running complaints. Maybe I missed some but that should pretty well cover it. I have bought every single figure thus far and will continue to do so...but that doesn't make those points any less valid. You are free to disagree with as little or as much of that as you wish. I'm just going off the general consensus. At the end of the day we each have our own collections and are free to do whatever we want with them and continue to vote with our dollars.

We cant forget its a throwback to the Hasbro figures though, so jumpers absolutely have to continue, thats a given. Movement and articulation should be kept as close to those Hasbros as possible, there were only a few figures, the larger built, Earthquake, Typhoon, Bam Bam for example that had any extra articulation, so i personally dont see a problem there. Distriburion has been well covered, Mattel can only distribute to those stores ordering the product, and if store head offices arent ordering, and a lot of people are still seeing series 2 or 3 in stores, a store simply wont order new stuff if the pegs are clogged eith the old, Mattel can do nothing about it. The price point increase definitely was an issue, the stand and the app is pointless and hopefully its been ditched. While i absolutely agree with some of your points i cant go along with it all

I love the line and have collected every figure - but it seems to have been all over the place in terms of distribution, character choice and wrestler attire...

*Btw just noticed my mistake and that Retro Stars is actually just the Twitter profile name for the person with the news. Still fingers crossed though and hopefully Mattel realizes what a waste the app stand thing is along with everyone else lol.

The price point increase definitely was an issue, the stand and the app is pointless and hopefully its been ditched. While i absolutely agree with some of your points i cant go along with it all At this point there are more jumpers per series than there were with Hasbro and those are disliked/less desired by nearly every collector. You are talking articulation, I was talking action moves. We have yet to see figures with moves like Mr. Perfect, Million Dollar Man #1, Macho #1, Texas Tornado and to a lesser desire Rick Rude, Either Bushwhacker, Warrior #3 and Texas Tornado. Also as you mentioned, Earthquake, Typhoon, and Bam Bam. Also there has only been one spring loaded punch (Roman). You can try and argue distribution problems but that doesn't mean they didn't botch it. Making this a Walmart exclusive first, not shipping all 6 of the first wave, having difficulty determining supply and demand based on prior research. And again, the price point helps clog shelves which means stores are ordering less and that screws with your distribution metrics.

@Chair.Shot im not sure there have been that many jumpers? Seth, Goldberg, Balor, Sting, HHH, Kofi and Daniel Bryan, apart from HHH amd DB i cant imagine another mould suitable for those guys. There were 13 jumpers in the Hasbro line Definitely agree about moves though, we should definitely get more mechanical movesets

I really like that Roman mold. They should do more of it. It would be really cool if they gave us an HBK in that style as a fun nod. I really want a 96-98 style HBK. I'm still pretty pissed we're getting chaps Shawn. WM14 or IYHDX would make me happy. I'm sure I'll sound like a broken record on that if this line keeps going.
I honestly hate the Cena mold more than I do the jumpers. It's huge and the ab stack is awful. The Undertaker mold is oversized too, but I like it much better than the stack. They need to scale those down imo because they're really out of scale with the Hasbros.

You're right about the size, they seem to broad if thats the right word, its not heifmght is it, the bodies are too wide lol

Definitely agree about moves though, we should definitely get more mechanical movesets Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but there were 11 jumpers total in the Hasbro line (split up over 5 years or so). There were roughly 90 hasbros made (give or take if you count mailaways and repaints). Mattel has produced 6 jumpers out of 40 figures thus far (series 1-7). Although technically Marty Jannetty style, you can also throw Daniel Bryan and Finn in there, that would be 8 out of 40. Either way you look at it, they are ahead of what Hasbro produced and hopefully they heard loud and clear that those figures are far less desired. In my opinion, Sting would have been better off with any action besides jumping. It would have been somewhat suitable for surfer Sting but still not a fan of the legs being fused together and having a huge tumor on their backs. Goldberg is even worse as he was known to be such a power guy. I get that they had signature moves that involved jumping, I'm just not at all a fan of that mold.

The stances are really wide on those molds.

It only took them 9 times to mess it up before they got it right.

Even the Goldberg jumper doesn't bother me because of the spear, or even how he turned guys for the jackhammer. That's the one people usually dislike.
Still, I want the Hasbro suplex mold.
