I thought the show was ok. Nothing special.

one of this companys best qualities is letting down the fans thats for sure you hype something up all night and THATS IT? as much as we complain about 3 hours of RAW every week, if you're selling this Smackdown as some huge show it really needed that 3rd hour to cover all the stuff I mean we got that 5 minute video package, that 10 minutes of McMahons that did nothing, a 2 second appearance of past GM’s, and some pictures of past episodes! QUALITY

I flipped on the show to see Evolution and then went back and forth the rest of the night while watching hockey in hopes that The Rock or Jericho show up for tonight's show, but oh, well. It's pretty clear the Evolution promo went way over and they had to cut time from every other segment/match. Batista and Flair both seemed to go off the rails once they got a mic in their hand. I don't blame Batista at all, either; he looked genuinely emotional to be back, it was cool to see him again.
Also, just curious because Angle posted a teaser on Instagram earlier - did they ever have a Team Angle reunion?

Great show.
All it was missing was The IIconics.
Taker segment was short but got the message across that Smackdown is pretty much the show he built

It was nice to see Shane back. It's been too long.

Also Becky Lynch is a highkey Daddy and Edge should replace Shane as Commissioner

Had no major issues with the show. Seeds planted for Batista/HHH match. Bar won the tag titles. Rey is back. Becky was golden.

Don't care what people say, I loved and thoroughly enjoyed tonight's show. It absolutely flew in, unlike Raw every week. Loved seeing all the legends I grew up watching. Fun night. The people complaining about tonight are the same people I see complaining in every thread I've ever read. It must suck to be that miserable all the ing time. WF's resident whiners.

The way Undertaker ended this was terrible. No mention of the SD1000 and all he does is tell a 1 sentence promo for the damn Saudi Arabia show.... X)

I feel that tonight's show was really all about Evolution and setting up Batista vs. Triple H down the road, and also Rey Mysterio's return.
I went into tonight's show with low expectations, and I wasn't disappointed because of that. I am not sure what people were expecting, but I thought the show was good.

Batista being back was great and hope to see more of him.
Lynch is still the best thing going on SDL and I loved her segment with Edge.
The Bar winning the tag titles was fun.
The rest was meh but we should know by now that these milestone episodes are always par for the course with today’s lackluster WWE.

I think The Undertaker appearance was a waste. Maybe they had other plans but the McMahon's and Evolution went long and they had to cut all of his time? Even Rey/Shinsuke seemed short and rushed.
The Undertaker and Kane had already said "We have three words for DX, Rest In Peace' on Monday in the boiler room vignette, so what the Undertaker did last night on Smackdown really did not accomplish anything.
I wish he had come down and actually said something about SMACKDOWN! That Smackdown was his home for many many years and that it will always be his yard. Maybe name dropped a few of his famous feuds. Just SOMETHING to commemorate the occasion.
I hope that they had a promo for him and that it got scrapped due to time constraints and that they didn't fly his ass all the way from Texas to DC to deliver that ONE LINE and walk off.
I want to believe that the WWE creative team could not possibly be THAT bad.
WWE really does seem to bungle these shows that should be historic. RAW25 was a DISASTER. Smackdown1000 wasn't any more special than a regular episode of Smackdown. There weren't very many returns/Legends segments, and the legends who did appear, most of them were condensed into ONE backstage segment just like they did with the former RAW GM's and commissioners on RAW25.
I guess at least John Cena recorded a shaky cell phone video....The Rock could only be bothered to type a Tweet, and Steve Austin didn't offer anything.

What was not to love about SDL last night?
Two incredible tag team matches rekindling memories of the Holla holla era.
A random Big Show heel turn rekindling memories of People Power
A Cutting Edge segment with a badass rekindling memories of the EXCUSE ME! Era.
And, then two World Cup matches with wrestlers from the RA era beating wrestlers from the New Era.
It had everything. Even a promotion for Evolution by Evolution since Evolution is also the name for Evolution so it got the crowd thinking. It's provocative.

Thought Becky with Edge was great.
Enjoyed the Evolution stuff quite a bit. Batista going savage on Triple H was a great setup.
Rey's splash was cool and I overall thought his "return" was good and it was a spectacle to get him in there with Nakamura.
Fun that Hawkins got 5 seconds of fame on the show. I still wish they would do more with him.
Why would Rusev not be in the World Cup?? I don't think I've ever cared this little about tag titles. Smackdown's tag division is the absolute worst imo. It was an ok show. I think it fell flat of something that felt special and mostly just felt like a moderately fun nostalgia show. The video package was great. WWE TV is so bad right now that I guess that was a win.

Rusev and Shinsuke not advancing in a World Cup themed tournament is just plain stupid. At least Rey in Mexican, but all the other guys are american...
