Do you buy them to display them loose? Buy them and display in the box? Buy them and stuff them away hidden.
Sadly, I stuff them away hidden but kept in the boxes. No place to display them yet.

Nowadays a lot of good figures come in ready to re-seal boxes. Back in the day carded figs were the coolest in terms of look and feel and a lot of cards were killed!
But if you collect for 'value' than you are 40yo and a virgin... jokes...
But seriously POSE OR DIE

I hang them on the wall as soon as I purchase them. Feels like I haven't had much time to enjoy my figs. Still haven't put Finkel and HBK together from the BAF sets.

I do have some displayed in boxes, maybe 1-2 MOC too... like the BCA Blue Blazer and some old school TMNT toys...

Loose. Gotta pose my figs. It's no fun if I can't play with my toys!

As Zack would say I’ve got 5 Detolf Zigglers with my elites and I use those 3 tier shelves to make the most of the space.

I display them both in my house and my work and I do ACBA figure photography with them. Needless to say I'm a loose collector.

I started off just collecting MOC figures just to get signed. For about a year, I collected more just to open and display, but got to be way more than I expected to spend, so I sold off all my loose figures and continue collecting MOC figures, mainly Elites and DM figures, that I can get signed. I display a few of my favorites in my home right now, and when I have more space, I'll display more. In the meantime, the majority of my signed figures, and all unsigned figures, are stored away in a storage unit inside containers and all within RSC Defender Cases.

Loose collector. Always had a few on display but now I'm reaching the biggest single collection I've ever had at one time (been collecting for 20 years). Finally getting serious about my displays. The only rule I have to collecting is that I don't buy anyone I'm not a fan of.

I collect MOC, I have a man cave with figures pretty much as my wall paper. I also have a smoking hot wife, a new born son and a sweet V8 lifted & fully modded truck.
Life is good 🍻

Been primarily a loose collector since the days of Hasbros as a kid. Figures are meant to be opened/displayed!
Have a complete set of Hasbros, LJNs (minus three), one of each character BCAs, every Mattel elite legend/flashback and one of nearly all modern characters loose. Right now I display my LJNs and about 100 legends loose. I also have probably around 100 mattels MOC, probably half signed and then get others to get signed. Works for me!

Loose on a shelf. I respect MOC collectors as often times they spend more since buying a figure loose is pointless to them but to me a large collection in package just takes up too much room.

I started by opening them, then had a small MOC phase but went to opening them again. So now i've got a bunch of loose figures on display, in bags and storage, as well as a small collection of MOC figures from my phase.
Only problem now, is i've got about 15+ figures on the way but nowhere to put them, i like to think i've made a 'good' mistake.

I have them loose and on display. Whenever I find the time I like to take action pics of them with my mini arena setup.
