Majority of my collection is in plastic tubs in storage. I have a pretty decent sized loose display with a few MOC mixed in. If I had a bigger house I’d love to display my full collection in all its glory.

I have em loose on display, some loose and tucked away, and some MOC tucked away.

I dont mean to offend, but what on earth is the point in collecting if they arent on display?

Mixed between open and MOC hidden away. However, I’ve been inspired by MFWD and his amazing 80’s and 90’s display and I’d like to do that. I don’t have nearly as many but I have all the right ones.

I dont mean to offend, but what on earth is the point in collecting if they arent on display? The ones I don’t have displayed is part laziness from me. I bought them to fill the void in my childhood as I never got Hart Foundation, Honky Tonk Man or Rick Rude...but I do now. I work 50-60 hours a week and Coach 3 baseball teams. When the fall baseball season finally ends, I’ll start my display.

I can understand that, but ive seen posts here where people keep them all in plastic bins, isnot worth it? lol i cant see any point, they may as well sell them

I've been collecting for about 25 years now - if I only collected what I could put on display, I'd have a much much smaller collection (probably about 5% of what I currently have). At the end of the day, I'd rather have a larger collection of all/most of the figures I like, than a much smaller one of only things I can display.

To each their own i spose, seems weird having something you like in a box you cant see lol

Open and display. Play with them and continue my long running fig fed when I'm in the mood. There are some that I've bought to strictly keep MOC, but not many.

I dont mean to offend, but what on earth is the point in collecting if they arent on display? Lol I collect all the Ultimate Warriors. I've had to catch up on all the old ones so I've paid quite a bit for alot of them. Hard for me to open them when they are $30+

I actually do all 3 listed in the original post.
I’m mainly a loose collector and have a few shelves that I display my figures on. I try to display mostly by eras, and sometimes will buy an alternate attire of someone from the same era. I don’t want to display multiple attires of someone in the same era (unless its a major character change) so the extras and figures don’t fit within the eras I have displayed go into plastic totes.
I do on rare occasion decide to keep a figure MOC or will sometimes buy an extra of a figure I really like to keep MOC. I have multiple Warriors, HBKs, and a few other names that I’ll sometimes buy 2 of a figure so I can open one and keep the other MOC.
There’s no wrong way to collect. You just have to find what works for you.
