Lol I collect all the Ultimate Warriors. I've had to catch up on all the old ones so I've paid quite a bit for alot of them. Hard for me to open them when they are $30+ I understand not wanting to open figs, but store them in storage bins? I cant understand it ...where would you put them though, if you couldn't display them? Would you rather have the figures, but not on display - or not have them at all? Again, it's personal choice: some people might like to just collect what they can display... others may prefer to collect everything they like, but not have much/any of it on display. Personally, it doesn't bother me not displaying my figures/collection (not to mention, light/sunlight/dust can be a real b**ch!)... I'm happy to have them packed away, safe and sound. There’s no wrong way to collect. You just have to find what works for you. Bingo.

Every last figure has been freed from it's plastic prison and is displayed on shelves or as part of my arena setup.

I display the majority loose! I often buy older ones loose because I'm gonna open them anyway. I originally kept all of my elite boxes...but there's just not the space here and I had to be ruthless and get rid of some. I kept a few though. I do keep some older Jakks figures or signed figures in their boxes though of course.

I keep them in boxes and bins and I'm depressed by the way they deform and trade paint with each other. I really want to create custom arena shelving, but I don't have power tools and I'm lazy atm.

Loose now I used to buy 2 of each since the day they came out. Had to sell my collection a few years ago now I collect loose and enjoy it more. I do collect chase basics in the boxes and other's that I either find cheap or have multiples of.

Some of my toy boxes that I previously stored away got ruined by temperature changes over the years.

I used to have this issue, just make sure they are well ventilated. Custom shelving would be sweet though. I want to do something similar when I get the chance.

Each to their own though(!).

Buy them, open them, look at them for 2-3 minutes, bag them, store them in plastic crates never to be seen again.

Nowadays a lot of good figures come in ready to re-seal boxes. Back in the day carded figs were the coolest in terms of look and feel and a lot of cards were killed! But if you collect for 'value' than you are 40yo and a virgin... jokes... But seriously POSE OR DIE Yeah, I love posing them. Can't imagine not opening, lol. Also -- dude -- your profile pic -- is that the create-a-figure alternate head from the Sting one that you are using as a Paul Ellering? That is sweet and thanks for the idea! Any chance you could post a picture of him?

I’d love to display all of my 80’s and 90’s figs with the intent that guests will come over and “ooh and ahh” at the display. In reality, they’d be like, “dude...you’re a huge dork”.
That’s why I seek comfort in this forum.
