Hey guys, thought I would share the news with you all, Smyths Toy superstore will NOT be supplying the latest elite figures as this was a decision made with their suppliers. mobile.twitter.com/RebelYellUK/with_replies

That's dumb. Wonder if they tried to lobby Mattel for an exclusive line on the way out so they can not carry them on the shelf like all the US retailers...

Now UK collectors are left with online places/prices... I've just checked Wrestling-Shop and Dude Love is £25, plus £4.95 postage... even with 10% off, that's still £27 ($35+) for a current/standard Elite. Great.

Also I do want to make sure that they never come in stock because I feel like we've had this happen before and all of a sudden they just come in stock but it's not looking good

Ah man that’s a real shame.
Yeah the prices might be ok at alternative online places for now but they will for sure start to creep up knowing the biggest competitor is now out. Then eBay sellers will capitalise as well soon enough which in turn helps kill the market that little bit more as people call it quits.
Plus the thrill of the hunt and walking into a store to find them is now gone for you UK peeps and I know for me as a collector that’s a big part of it.

It's not like you weren't all warned since 2015. 1 234
Here are 4 of many examples. The only surprise is that it took this long. At least all the short term viewers got some poop figures that no one wanted at home bargains and the Entertainer for 8 quid. Huurah.

Is Smyths Toys the only source for figs in the UK? Just curious... my sister lives there and last I saw there were Elites in the little toy shop in the mall near where I was. Don't recall the name of the place, however.

No, the entertainer has some, slightly behind Smyths, Argos, Hamleys (very expensive), tesco near me has some sporadically, toymaster stores have a small selection, asda have basics sometimes, theres an figure shop too but they are expensive, wilkinsons have had some before, not been in one for ages though, then theres ebay and amazon too

Don't recall the name of the place, however. In terms of the latest figures, Smyths is the only retail store which will sell the current waves of elites, basics, battle packs etc. However we do have a couple of retail stores which are probably 5+ waves behind the current offerings which will sell at discounted prices. From an online standpoint there are a couple of sites which provide figures but they'll be at a premium price. Amazon have started flirting with the idea of stocking the latest elites at retail prices so hopefully that may be a good alternative in future.

The Entertainer online isn't nearly as good as Smyths and not everyone has one near. Argos does basics and NXT Elites and also Wrestlemania series. Wilko does Elites but I would never rely on them but if you're looking then it's fine. Asda/Tesco's do basic figures. So for Elite collectors if it is true about Smthys it's basically online and a lot of the sellers won't have a place to buy there figures so the price could climb of them figures so your looking at Amazon USA basically
