I understand they're allowed to use the WWF logos and say WWF in old footage - but they still aren't allowed to hold up an old belt in new footage with the scratch logo on it?I don't see what the problem with the logo is, it doesn't look like WWF, more like 'WF'. Zach Ryder and Curt Hawkins doing that new action figure show on the WWE's channel - they had to blur out the 'WF' scratch logos on the figures.
Vince McMahon is a very good negotiator, I don't understand why he has been so weak with this.
I can understand them saying "WWF" in new footage is a no-no, but surely enough time as passed for the logos not to matter? Most people know the difference.
It would be cool if we could get action figures and replica titles with the old WWF logos on them. If they had "WWE" printed underneath the logos or "World Wrestling Entertainment" - I can't see what the deal is.

I doubt it ever will honestly. I'm just happy they finally struck a deal where they can say ''WWF' and use the scratch logo in old footage again. Those blurs were a pain in the a$$.

They could still be using the WWF acronym if they had made a nice $250,000 donation to the World Wildlife Fund and helped promote saving endangered species

From what I heard back in 2002, the World Wildlife Fund made an offer to do so (but I am unsure of the exact donation amount. It was somewhere between $250K-1 million) but Vince didnt want to do it.

Now they'd jump on the chance to do any philanthropy! That's crazy.

This has nothing to do with Classic wrestling. But to answer I don’t see it ever ending where the WWE can go back to that logo.

I’m just glad the blurring is gone.
Those first few years after the change were awful. Trying to watch ANYTHING from the Attitude Era was just a blurry nightmare.

The feud is done. There’s no on-going case or anything.

Just think of how much money, time and resources it took to blur those logos. Anytime I see clips with it I always just turn off.

Oh,damn it all! I have always despised calling it WWE and seeing my childhood favorites described as WWE Champion.

that lawsuit was a blessing in disguise for vince. "federation" makes it seem like a legit sport. "entertainment" makes it more along the lines of the way vince thinks
