So, added to the collection - this sh*t is addictive, and my Mattel colllection is a little behind - but whatever. Anywho, added 2 UKG graded Hasbros. Both are graded at 70% - I know they are low, but I love how they look graded. This badboy arrived today. I um’ed and ar’ed which Warrior I wanted, but it was never really in doubt. Not sure if I should wait to get a couple more (Hogan and Savage are next) or just send these 2 off for grading. What do you think of my entire Hasbro MOC collection (lol) Well maybe not my first Hasbro, as I had about 6-8 as a kid (they were impossible to get in Australia). This is my first MOC Hasbro as an adult collector, I won’t tell h what it cost me, but I am super happy with it. Already on the lookout for MOC Warrior, Hogan and Macho. This bad boy will be make the trip to UKG once I find a travelling partner (another MOC Hasbro) to go with him. What do think???

Basically my favourite figure I never had as a kid Bret was (and is) my favourite, so his series 4 figure got A LOT of play from me, but when I saw the ad for series 8 I instantly loved that figure. I had a rule that I didn’t buy a new version of a figure that I already had unless that figure got broken, but I would’ve made an exception for that Bret figure had I ever seen it in shops. That was the figure I probably wanted most of all - along with Dusty - when I was first collecting MOC Hasbros in the late 90s, but I never could get him within my budget back then. Fortunately I did manage to grab him in 2005, when I was pretending to be grown-up and not collecting wrestling toys anymore, but I still had an eBay account and got lucky one fine day That’s a great start to any collection I’d say; especially in what looks to be great condition - congrats

Solid figure to start with, I've been on the hunt for a clean carded red Bret for a while so color me jealous. Enjoy the Hasbro ride!

That's a great figure to start with. One of the harder and more expensive ones to find nowadays. And it looks to be in great condition. Congrats.

Nice Warrior! I've always hated the color purple, but this figure is the best Warrior that Hasbro released in the main series (I would've preferred black over purple). I'm one of those that think grading is overrated. Sending them to UKG is even worse... UK Graders claim: "We are here to offer an honest and third party grading system for your treasured collectables! Here at UKG our staff have over 27 years knowledge and experience in this field enabling us to give an accurate and honest grade for your items." Then they crushed that claim by grading a loose El Matador and "The Model" Rick Martel as Strike Force, giving the team a grading of U90%. Sure at one point in time Santana and Martel were Strike Force, but El Matador and "The Model" Rick Martel were not a team. However, UKG could even make a bigger mistake; they graded a loose Berzerka (couldn't even write Berzerker correctly) and Warlord as the Powers of Pain, with a grading of 85%. Berzerker never was The Barbarian, in the AWA he was Nord the Barbarian... For me UKG lost all credibility. Attachment DeletedAttachment Deleted

I'd wait to grade if you're planning on getting more figures that you also want graded. Do them all in one shot. AFA is overwhelmingly better than UKG. Even if it's more expensive and takes longer, I still recommend AFA, every single time. I can vouch for CAS for Star Wars figures but I don't have any experience with them in terms of other lines. I know CAS does tons of comic cons and comes with a convenience factor to drop off figures, versus having to send them out, but AFA does some of that too. AFA is the CGC of the toy world. Most trusted, you can't crack them without destroying the cases, and the resale value is always going be the strongest.
Those both look like easy 85s, if not outright 90s. Beautiful shape on both of them.
Do you know which Macho and Hogan you're going to go after?

Great start there, 2 of the best and hardest to find MOCs. At least seems to be good time to pick up warrior as eBay's been flooded with him lately, so hopefully price wasn't too bad on him.
I prefer the S2 Warrior, but this one is close 2nd, I do have fond memories of finding him at TRU in 92' though.

Both gems for sure. Such great condition as well.
Gotta love the old Hasbro figs!

Honestly I don’t know. Are there any that are more sort after then others? I figure if I’m only getting one of them, might as well have the best (unless there is one that I really prefer, but that isn’t the case with Hogan and Macho).

Macho Man #1 seems to be most liked, and sells for the highest prices. But, my preference was always Macho King, one of my top 5 Hasbros for sure. Hogan #1 is just classic and my favorite Hogan, none of his figs are super expensive besides the mailaway. But, it all comes down to personal preferences.

I just like #1 for being the first, and the classic Hulk Rules shirt. I also really like Macho Man #3, even though he doesn't have the crown and scepter, the card art almost makes up for it.

Recently I was looking at Hasbros on eBay, and it’s just mind boggling to me that they’ve been kept in the package for 25 plus years. Cool gets! I had pretty much all the Hasbro's, but never that specific Bret Hart. It fetches a good amount on eBay. Hopefully Mattel makes a Retro Hitman soon.

Macho King is my favorite Macho. I like Hogan 2 the most moc because it looks like he’s doing the flex but I’m guessing most people prefer Hogan 1, and understandably so with the iconic shirt and the playability of the action.
I honestly don’t think you can go wrong with Macho. I love all of them, sans maybe the Macho Man in purple that is the Macho King repaint without the cool accessories. In terms of value though I’d say Macho 1 or Macho King.
