I haven’t watched regularly since ‘04. I do know that fans routinely hijack a show with their same handful of chants. My question is have fans ever started a 10 count together as soon as a superstar exits the ring? It’s clear the wwe has selective enforcement of the countout rule so that does seem like something fans would do to stick it to the man.

Didn't fans at one point start chanting 10 for every second someone was out of hte ring when Dillinger had a more prominent role on TV? I know they chanted 10 at him, and when he does the 10 punch every punch is 10. I just swear I remember fans chanting 10 each time the ref made a count for an outside count.

They were definitely still doing it when I last attended a WWE event last November. I hope they've stopped now.

Fans trying to get themselves over is one of the worst things in wrestling. They more than anyone deserve to be over. Without them there is no business They paid for the right to chant “WE ARE AWESOME” and other nonsense, and that’s fine. But it also gives us the right to call them douchebags if they do.

On a side note is it just wrestling fans that act self entitled and think it’s okay to be marks for themselves and try and hijack a show or are there other forms of entertainment this takes place in too? I’ve been to concerts, stand up shows etc and have never experienced it there but wrestling, good grief 🤦🏽♂️

Even worse than these forced chants are those fake shocked looks that so many fans put on when something happens. I swear this started right around the time the streak ended and now if the slightest little thing happens you will have these attention seekers in the crowd put this fake look of shock on trying to get on camera.

They think the band somehow hears them.

One of my favorite fan getting over type moments was two guys on RAW with beers,Roman was fighting in the crowd, and these guys are shouting "Punch him,Roman!" while glancing at the camera.

If anyone does that when I am in the crows I'll put them in the Scorpion Deathlock.

It doesn't bother me enough to stop watching, but it's very noticeable and kind of takes away from the action in the ring. I don't know how a full crowd can break out into a song and keep it going for 30-45 seconds but that crowd somehow manages to do it lol. With that said, I agree us Canadians created a monster with the Dillinger 10 count...at least I'm pretty sure that was us that started it back at NXT Takeover Toronto in 2016. It was fun at the time though...
