The Bellas didnt start the womens revolution, Triple H did, with the blessing of Vince. The women superstars were/are the vehicle they used Paige's push was what really made people sit up and watch anyway End of thread and debate. The Revolution was started by Triple H down in NXT and the women who first got it rolling where Paige,Emma & Natalya who set the ton and then came in the Four Horsewomen who took it to the level that its at now.Their doesn't need to be any credit handed out to the Bella Twins,Lita,Trish,Jazz,McCool,Holly...ect anyone from the past. On a side note as sexist as this will sound I still strongly believe why the Revolution was really started and this big push in the last four or five years for women's wrestling is mostly due if not soul reason is the fact that Triple H has three daughters and he started the change for them.I always had that theory as well. They will inevitably become wrestlers and when HHH and Stephanie are talking about the future of the WWE, they are really talking about their kids.

The Hashtag that "Started the Revolution" came AFTER Triple H was rebuilding the division in NXT already. Hardcore fans saw what was happening in NXT and wanted the same on the Main Roster.
It also wasn't because fans wanted to see more of Nikki or Brie. They wanted to see more from AJ Lee and Emma (who was fantastic in NXT and wasted so hard on the main roster)
The only reason Nikki and Brie still have jobs in the WWE right now is Total Diva's and Total Bella's. I think the moment those shows are cancelled by E! those two women will pursue other ventures outside of the WWE. Brie may stick around for the sake of Brian but I doubt it, the Bella's already don't work many (if any house shows) due to their other commitments.
Triple H and the freedom he was given to do whatever he wanted with NXT and when he gave the Women the chance to show that they could truly go in the ring they all delivered in spades. Nattie, Paige & Emma were the first do that. They were followed quickly by the WWE Four Horsewomen and then Asuka, Ember Moon and now Shayna Baszler and Kairi Sane and their class.
If only those women were truly given the same chances on the Main Roster the entire "Revolution/Evolution" would be a much better position in my opinion.
Right now I think that Rhonda Rousey, while improving in the ring, is holding the Raw Division back. Her build to the championship should have hit a few more road blocks and screw jobs to keep the title off her.

There’s a lot of people who deserve some kind of credit for being a part of everything over 15-20 years or whatever, but women’s wrestling in WWE today began in NXT. If they didn’t start it there, and then continue it thru the Sasha, Bayley, Charlotte, Becky era, then I don’t think much would have changed on Raw and SmackDown. Might still have some really good wrestlers, and some of the same people, but no revolution/evolution/etc.

Nikki and Brie do deserve credit for it. By being so terrible that fans finally got sick of it and wanted something more.

Sasha gets a lot of heat but Sasha & Bayley are "sitting in catering" because they have no character development. Wrestling is 90% character and 10% ring work. Can anyone even tell me what the definition of a "Legit Boss" is? Yeah I was thinking about that, all the women in wwe act and dress like the nicknames they have, none of them can just be themselves I get that and kinda agree to an extent lol. But I wanna be the antagonist here. What is a 'Liv Morgan' or a 'Sonya Deville' meant to look like? I know Stephanie is meant to be a nasty bitch heel who you wanna see getting her ass kicked. As for Ronda she's screams badass but it just doesn't work for some. Like, there's not a stereotypical 'Nia Jax' look. 😂

Ehhh. She deserves some credit. I’m okay with some of the stuff she said. It’s a lot easier to stomach than having to listen to Stephanie trying to pretend that she has a part in this, when she sat in creative for over a decade and did absolutely nothing for Women’s wrestling.

I think the misconception is that the Bellas were in the ring when the hashtag started. And because of that, Nikki & Brie have overestimated their place in the grand scheme of things. They think fans wanted to see more from them and because of that they've credited themselves for the uproar. All while completely ignoring the fact that it was Emma & Paige who lost 20 seconds into a match. The same Emma & Paige who were putting on fantastic matches in NXT a few months prior.

This is just as ridiculous as Al Gore claiming that he invented the internet.
You know who really doesn't get credit for the women's revolution? Emma.

Nikki ABSOLUTELY deserves all or most of the credit for the revolution. If it wasn't for her botches and monotone delivery of promos we would not have reached that breaking point where we have had enough and all these actual talented individuals were brought in. Thank you, Nikki! Now thank you, f you, bye.

That Emma could go toe to toe with any of the women on the roster.

I stand by her matches with Paige in the NXT Women's Championship tournament and at Arrival being the real start of the "revolution." They were the ones who started to open everybody's eyes that were paying attention at the time.

First of all, does anyone know what Nikki's first full match ever was? (without cheating with 'Twin Magic")
Second of all, the fact that she wants this recognition proves she was just a gold digger, she wanted Cena for the credit not for true love.
And lastly, I agree Triple H saw his 3 daughters and saw the future.. so he made sure there was such thing for them one day.

Every time some one says thanks to the divas era because without them we wouldn’t of been able to do what we do today, it’s a little like thanking all the men who wouldn’t allow women to vote because without them we’d of never had the oppurtunity to change it. So yes , thanks to all the models, and amateur “wrestlers”, who showed no passion or drive to be better and had no problem taking WWE’s money to do whatever WWE told them. It’s so dumb. “Oh that house is on fire”. Firefighters: “We’d like to thank the fire because without it we wouldn’t be able to be firefighters so let’s get fire the respect it deserves”. Piss off. LMAO!!

Nikki Bella could have a 5 star match and fans would still find reasons to hate her. Sasha Banks can constantly botch moves in matches, injure her opponents and somehow gets a pass because she was in NXT. As far as I am concerned, none of the women have done anything to make themselves stand out as special. Becky Lynch does, and she changes her nick name to "the man" pretty much saying that women can't succeed on the same level as men can. -sasha banks botches so much she is the worst -brie Bella literally tries to break her own neck twice (in 1 match!) And erases liv Morgan's memory in a one month span - but...but...botcha banks though

I am glad we are in agreement that Sasha Banks sucks and botches a lot!
