Backstage at London Calling, in the minutes after his ultraviolent deathmatch with Chris Priceless, Ryan Payne is captured on camera explaining what the outcome of this match means for the future of Chris Priceless and discusses the upcoming show where he will meet Ante Whitner.
"How are you feeling following your victory Mr Payne?"
An interviewer asks Payne from the ringside steel chair he is positioned on, while medical staff attempt to clean up and examine his wounds.
"How do you think I feel lady? I have just killed off the sole cancer plaguing the WFWF. I made a promise to myself that I would end - not just the wrestling career of Chris Priceless but his life, hell, his entire existence. I promised to wipe him off the face of this planet and reunite him with his long lost brother. I promised many things, but above all else - I promised Chris that he would become a martyr here tonight and by God he certainly became that."
"I did exactly what I intended to do from the start, it played out like a fairytale from start to finish. I conquered society and EVERYTHING it stands for from Priceless, to his brother, to each and every one of you. It's not a matter of society doubting my abilities, it's the fact no-one wants to believe what I am capable of. Everyone is scared of exactly what I am capable of, I have proven I will go to any lengths. I diminished the facade here tonight, I became the puppeteer and you all followed like knotless threads awaiting a 'Needle' to latch onto."
"You can't make up your own minds, you look up to people like Chris to speak for you, to give you all the answers, you are all incapable of forming your own judgement without having someone say 'love him because, hate him because,' he's wrong because I don't like the truth. But it's evident, whatever Ryan Payne says is the truth, Ryan Payne never lies, whether you believe it or more so, whether you want to believe it then there is no denying I am and will always be the pariah."
"If you were to sum up tonight's match in one word what would it be?"
"As one saga draws to a close a new chapter must be written. To answer your question - 'Redemption'... as that is exactly what I claimed here tonight at London Calling. Speaking of 'redemption' I understand I'll be facing Ante Whitner in Seattle ! A man who lives his life seeking redemption. We have never met before Mr Whitner, we have our similarities, an enigma, we could both be presumed as mysterious at first glance. But that's for another day."
"I see you are a man of the Holy Book Ante. I cannot begin to comprehend your mere philosophies. I will not attempt to unscramble the anagram that is your language. But it's not all black and grey, what I take from your preachings is that all these years of faith and dedication to God have gotten you nowhere. You are digging an inconceivable early grave for your career Ante. Your self doubt eats you alive which is the reason you turned to a higher power in the first place. That is what I feed on Ante. I crave others weakness and repackage it into my own evergrowing power."
"You speak fondly of searching for redemption, don't you think it's all going to collapse into a dead end? I mean, surely if you were ever going to get redemption, you would have got it by now. Even God can't, or is unwilling to help you. There are far too many wrestlers nowadays who speak in unintelligible riddles to the delight of the crowd. You only give them what they want to hear. They see you as a circus act, who spills his guts uttering nothing but drivel and expecting people to see the light. It is all 'worthless' just like the Priceless brothers I will expose Ante Whitner for the fraud he is. You couldn't get it done against an old man in Frank Lynn. How do you expect to hang with today's generation. Your flaming barbed wire match of past will be a footnote in the violence Ryan Payne will unleash upon the WFWF. I am capable of thoughts that even your sick mind cannot physically comprehend. I am just getting started Ante."
"You better pray for God to be in your corner at SNAFU because the Holy Book cannot protect you from the wrath of Ryan Needles Payne. In Seattle you will meet the 'real' God."
