He was 83. Us older fans know him for his time in Florida and Texas in the 70s/80s. He also trained Shawn Michaels and was his manager briefly in the WWF circa 96.

Sad news, but at least he was able to live a full life when considering that so many other wrestlers have died before the age of 40.
I know HBK wasn't in a great place mentally in 1996 despite the career success he attained, but I'm sure it was special for him to have Jose be at his side during that inaugural World title reign.
RIP, Jose.

Not to make light of his passing, but looking at that picture from 1996, who would have ever thought there'd be a time where Jose Lothario had more hair than HBK?

Sad news! I saw him recently on some 80's WCCW shows on the Network.
