I think this has to be Hollywood Hogan here. Rey could be another top choice here.
Current Roster wise, it will be interesting to see who they go with.

Doubtful, flashbacks are being scaled back from the looks of it, partly due to the fact that the well has run dry. They do not appear to have very many (if any) new names available to them to make figures of and you can only make so many repaints of the same guys over and over again before people lose interest. I think the fact that this line will be available everywhere indicates that it will contain mainly current stars with perhaps the odd legend thrown in here and there and the legends will likely be the main eventers who sell well. Also, I think this line will not contain full sets but rather a series of individual figures released at various intervals. This would actually be better IMO as it would cut down on the amount of shelf warmers. Sorry, I already called it back in the Ringside Fest thread. With Mattel, its better not to get your hopes up because you will likely be disappointed in the end. On a positive note, these will apparently be available everywhere- no more of this store exclusive crap.

Whatever it is, I have $1 that says it flops cause mattel will over price the hell out of it or it will be damn near impossible to find (exclusive) and we'll be blamed for the failure of it.

Probably a fair guess that it will be a mix of current and former top stars. There are only so many names that will sell in meaningful quantities at a high price point. If this goes the way we're all expecting, we're probably looking at a minimum SRP of $35, probably higher. So expect top names and highly desired attires they've been witholding like 2000 hHh.
I'm excited for the reveal. But for me these will need to be some really exceptional figures for me to jump up to that sort of price point.

Not that I enjoy spending money or that I’m made of cash, but the idea of there actually being a legitmate COLLECTORS item avail from wwe/Mattel is interesting. My wife made a comment not too long ago asking what’s the point in “collecting” something that everyone has and can buy at any point, and I didn’t have an answer.

Collecting something made in limited quantities can have more value in the short term. Successful mass releases will hold value in the long term as long as it’s not continuously produced. Old Volkswagen beetles are desired and collectible even though that car has sold more than almost any other car ever. If I wanted to start buying gijoes for a collection then I would want all the ones I used to have and played with as opposed to any special collectors editions. Have you ever watched American pickers?

Thinking this will be similar to the first run of defining moments. Some of the best Mattel has made were in that first run. This is how we’ll get more Machos, Brets, and Warriors with entrance gear.

Not a store exclusive and available on RSC?
FINALLY some logic. This is how ALL of the series should be distributed.

One collector has the Asuka and has very positive things to say about it. The Asuka shown at SDCC is not and never was in the Ultimate Edition, it was going to be a WrestleMania Axxess and WWE store exclusive, so whoever he is, is full of crap

Now that I think of it the DX attire HBK should of been released in this line instead of incomplete one we got.
