I remember the time during the "Divas Era" when the women would have a short match (often a lumberjill match) which would take place during the cool down spot before the WrestleMania main event. Boy, have those times changed big time!

I would normally say no, but if done right then yes.
Normally i wouldn't have them main event, even though the Women's Division has taken a Goliath step forward in recent years, people still aren't completely invested in them, you still hear little to no reaction in most matches and the majority of their storylines are still atrocious. On top of this, some matches still come across as a 'Divas' type match with the weak af hits, slams and botches. The ones that have stepped it up, that also have some name power have the potential to main event but it's not there yet.
But, if you take the Women with the better wrestling skills, the bigger name value and put those with a good storyline, you'd have a Main Event. Though Ronda vs Charlotte is a huge match, i don't see it as a WM main event. You have two huge names with good ability but the storyline wouldn't live up to main even standards, the baddest Woman on the planet vs The Queen, Top dog vs Top dog, Newbie vs Vet, it's there but it's not a WM main event, especially in the build up with both of them not having great promos. So in that sense, i'd say No to them main eventing.
On the other hand, Ronda vs Becky COULD main event coming out of this weeks Raw/SD. With Becky becoming the hottest thing in wrestling, having one of the best promos in the company and being one of the best wrestlers, putting her in there with Ronda could lead to a feud of the year and WM main event. The story is there with their twitter/promo beef, both confident that they'd destroy the other only to have it taken away by Nia. So now after SS, Ronda can go squash Nia, then when Becky is cleared, she could do a cross brand feud and squash Nia, getting Ronda's challenge and Becky's revenge out of the way so now they can focus on each other.
Both with similar finishers so the story of "I'm gonna break your arm" is there, then Becky can carry Ronda through all the promo's all while having some brawls with both of them getting the upper hand at some point. Keep in mind they'll both still be champions so it's a Champion vs Champion setting to prove who's the better Champ. The build up to this match could be incredible if done right, by the time WM rolls around, both will have increased popularity with there basically being a double turn on the way, Ronda Heel, Becky Face (More like a Steve Austin Face), by this time they could be on par with the top males (Seth, Brock, Drew, AJ, Bryan) with draw power. They'll have a good match to main event and i'd give the win to Becky, being the one to finally tap out Ronda and solidify her at THE TOP Woman in WWE and undoubtedly THE MAN.
So to that match and that match only, i'll vote Yes.

Yes. If the match and hype is deserving of main eventing, then absolutely. If the few weeks build we got for Ronda vs. Becky was any indication, then a Ronda vs. Becky match would 100% be deserving of main eventing WrestleMania.

Depends what the card is - I don't see anything else being significantly bigger than Ronda Rousey vs Becky Lynch, so I could definitely see that going on last.

Yes!
But only if it's a lumberjill bra and panties style match!

Becky vs Ronda with the right build, yes.

Depends on what else is planned. At the moment I don’t see an amazing match for the men. Daniel Bryan or AJ is the best bet. Definitely don’t wanna see Brock close the show with a snoozer.
Easy answer is the hottest storyline should close the show.

For me personally, if it's Ronda v. Becky, yes.
For the side of me that likes watching idiots speak: yes. You know there will be a loud number ofpeople saying this is done to make up for the Saudi Arabia and that it's somehow meaningless or something like that.

If we're gonna get Ronda v Becky, yes, absolutely. As I've said several times, in two weeks, they had people clamoring to see their match. Give them a few more months to build each woman up, tell a better story, and it will be completely believable as the main event.

Just like the men: if the story is right and big enough to warrant it, then absolutely so. Becky Lynch VS Ronda Rousey is definitely a match that deserves to main event WrestleMania 35. Becky is the most popular performer in the WWE right now among wrestling fans. Ronda has plenty of fans herself, and garners mainstream attention.

Until the Ronda/Becky build I would’ve said no but the build up for their match far succeeded any other match that is happening at Survivor Series and what they did in 2 weeks was amazing, imagine what they could do with months leading up to WrestleMania.

The problem isn't that women could not main event Wrestlemania. The problem is that the only woman at any kind of general public level, that non-wrestling watchers would know is Rhonda Rousey. After her, the WWE has no one else at the same level of public awareness or popularity.
The closest they have is either Charlotte Flair, or if they went dragged back in Lita or Trish.
There is no one at Rousey's level of public awareness and popularity that would attract non-wrestling watchers and make them care.
Maybe they could bill the next WM as a "Double Main Event", one being the WWE Championship, the other being the Raw Women's Championship. I also don't see it making good business sense. Non IWC people knew who Rock, Austin, Hogan were, and they could still get excited. But there is no one at Rousey's level of general public awareness who be seen as a challenger.

Becky vs Ronda I'd say absolutely hell yes.
Only thing I see standing in the way of that would be if we get an HBK match.

The winner of the Royal Rumble should main event. It kinda annoys me every year when its Lesnar or someone other than the RR Winner. I dont mind who main events as long as theyve won the rumble that year.

I'm much more invested in a potential Becky/Ronda main event than I had been in a potential Charlotte/Ronda main event. That may just be chalked up to personal preference, and I know there's probably an argument for there being more layman marketability in Charlotte with the Ric Flair tie than there is in Becky, but I feel as though Ronda's name alone should be a strong enough piece of goodwill to, if marketed properly, justify the women main eventing the show.

I think the best wrestling match of the night should main event WrestleMania and not just the match with the most star power. I know everyone is claiming Becky vs. Ronda will main event the next WrestleMania, but I personally hope it does not. I don't care how good of a "story" they could build out of it, it just won't be the best card of the night, even without knowing anyone else on the card at this point. If AJ Styles vs. Daniel Bryan is on the card, now THAT is a main event match from both a story and physical standpoint. The only women's match I could see right now truly worthy of a WrestleMania main event is Bayley vs. Sasha Banks, and that's if they're given the same liberties they were given in NXT to put on the best match possible without having to stick so much to their build-up in the actual match like almost all WWE matches are.

Now that Romans gone, i would like to see Ronda vs Becky main event Mania. I was excited to see it at Survivor Series with a month hype, now if they get booked for Mania, the build is gonna be even better. It would make the most sense IMO. Ronda having mainstream fame, Becky having huge momentum, it would be a great choice for the main event. Nothing to do with this "women's revolution " or first time ever for the women bullcrap, but based on who the two women are is why itd make sense to me

There are a lot of very capable female talent that WWE has. I fully support women main eventing WrestleMania so long as the match contains talent that can actually make it an entertaining and solid match. For example, something like Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte Flair from Evolution is the caliber...in fact above the caliber of some of the last few WrestleMania main events.

I’m more open to it now then I was before. Particularly because of how red hot Becky has become. I absolutely did not want Charlotte/Ronda to main event.
My ideal main event is Brock vs Rollins. As much as I love Rollins, he did close a Mania holding the title with pyro and everything. This would just be finally the crowning of him as top face.
I think we just have to see if Becky can sustain this. I don’t think Ronda is as big a star as they think she is. I guess someone can fact check me but I don’t know if her segments are getting high ratings or not. I just don’t think she’s moving the needle like they had hoped.
I’ll be there regardless, but if Ronda/Becky closes the show, I’ll have no problem with it
