So obviously this is just semantics, but why should the main roster have the US title if the North American title covers more area and is on NXT? And the IC is just a nebulous name (Champion of all continents? Champion of the land but not water? What makes it different than a world championship?). Just wanted to throw this out there and get your thoughts.

I've felt for a long time that both the IC Title and US Title should be retired and a new mid card title should be made,I loved the idea of the North American Title and would have debuted it on the main roster instead of NXT,but now that ship has sailed I think making a TV Title/Network Title would be a good idea,a title that has to be defended on a weekly bases would add a twist to the title and make it the true "Work Horse" title of the company and give fans something to look forward to each and every week.Plus debuting a new title would also wash away all of the bad title reigns and champions from the past that have held the IC/US Titles.

They should make Zack Ryder's old Internet Championship an actual championship.

With 14 (soon to be 15) titles across three brands, none of them really mean all that much anymore.

I like that over the last year or two the IC title has kind of become more of a workhorse championship, especially while Brock reigns supreme on Raw. Rollins and Ziggler did a lot in my eyes to bring prestige and worth back to that championship over the summer. I wish they would treat the US title the same on Smackdown! but that belt definitely seems like more of a prop as of late. With that said I wouldn't want them to get rid of either of those two titles based off of the lineage that both championships have, even though at times they're aren't treated as such.
As for your original question, I don't really get caught up in the semantics of what regions the championships cover. For example, I don't look at the US title and think it's lesser than the NXT North American title because it covers less ground. I look at it as though you're holding a title that contains a lot of history. To me, I think about the historic matches that took place with that title on the line. In my opinion that is what makes a championship prestigious and important. A title needs a reputation to build upon, and for the most part I believe the good will outweigh the bad when it comes to championship history.

I hope nobody is losing sleep over the names of the titles. Given current trends, five years from now we'll have the Intergalactic & Multiversal belts to try and make sense of.

I'm actually quite surprised the IC and US titles haven't been scrapped for "Raw mid card championship" and "Smackdown Live mid card championship" that look identical to the WWE title but with maroon straps.

I'd say the order of prestige goes:
IC UK NA US

Speaking of championships we have 4 championships in the following "World" Championships (WWE Championship, Universal Championship, NXT Championship, & WWE/NXTUK Championship) Women's Championships (Raw, SmackDown, NXT, & NXTUK) Tag Team Championships (Raw, SmackDown, NXT, & NXTUK) Including the Intercontinental, United States and NXT North American Championships that is 15 titles which is kind of record for WWE.

I'd say the order of prestige goes: IC UK NA US I'd say the UK 1st. Then a toss up between Rollins, Nakamura and Ricochet.

I'm still waiting for He-Man to challenge Brock, if we want to get into literal title meanings.
