I have never liked the whole kick off show concept especially when title matches take place on them. Last night however was the final straw because an advertised Survivor Series match took place on the kick off and then the result didn't even count because it wasn't on the main card.
I honestly believe a show like Heat would be much fairer to the wrestlers and it used to be a nice warm up for the PPV's.

Honestly, I would much rather have no kickoff show at all.

What are you imagining is the difference between the kickoff show and an episode of Heat before the PPV?
Either way, no - the last thing wrestling needs is an extra hour long episode of it every week. They struggle to find stuff to fill the five hours a week they already have.

Heat featured one lower card match where the kickoff shows have title matches and even mid/upper carders have fought on them at times.

So basically, you just want the kickoff shows to have the likes of Mojo and Ryder rather than Usos, New Day etc? I'm not sure that would be a great improvement to the show's quality.

Honestly, it doesn't matter what they call it. Pre-show, Kickoff, Heat, Velocity, Power Hour, Mr Toad's Wild Ride, it's all the same. It's just a pre-show that you can watch if ya want, or skip if ya don't.

I think what a lot of you guys are forgetting is at its inception, and when it was utilized to its best, HEAT was a hype show to get you to buy the PPV. So a lot of the time, guys like Austin and Rock would be on Heat in a segment to further the angle right before the PPV. It wasn’t just another hour of wrestling, it gave the people who hadn’t purchased the show yet a last minute tease to get you interested. While it’s not extremely needed in the age of the wwe network, it could still motivate somebody into buying the network just to watch the show

And that the current kickoff shows could (and do) have angles with the wrestlers on the PPV.

The Uso's and New Day being on the kick off is a downgrade for them IMO. If top stars are going to appear on the kick off it should only be to hype their match for the main PPV. Look at Corbin and Ambrose last year. Both men were in a huge feud leading into Mania and their match ended up on the pre show which was a slap in the face for both men.

But you know those matches get moved there because there's not room for them on the show, right? Ambrose and Corbin was switched to the pre-show when the SmackDown womens match got added to the main card. The Usos and New Day just wouldn't have wrestled at all on Sunday if they were banned from being on pre-shows.

I don't understand the need of a kick-off show, anyway. They spend almost the entire episode of #RAW and SmackDown promoting everything they need to promote. If they don't feel people watch those shows to get caught up on everything, why is a kick-off show still needed??? They put very little value on any kick-off matches, so they can't believe it's because they think people will watch the kick-off for its matches, because there's more important matches on the weekly shows. So yeah, cancel the Kick-off shows all together. No need to bring back any older shows. In fact, I wish they would cancel Main Event already, too.

No, it shouldn't. We have a kickoff show. They can call it whatever they want, it's all the same. The idea of wanting guys below the likes of The Usos and New Day on the show, thus making The Usos and New Day do NOTHING at the show, is ridiculous. If they wanted to add additional matches with the lower card guys/jobbers, then sure, go for it.

I wouldn't bring it back, but i would love to see Velocity again. Just because the colour and design is one of my favourites of all time.

Vince hates the word "pre-show" so it's banned

No point in a kick off or a preshow since the real ppv era is long but dead.

My b on double posting
But, a show like heat would be nice. But we’re over saturated.
A 3 hour Raw 2 hour SmackDown NXT is a hour Main event is a hour Absurdly long PPVs 205 live is a hour
To much content. Raw 2 hours SD 2 hours Regular PPVS 3 hours NXT 1 hour 205 1 hour
Maybe a 30 minute Sunday show with one Raw and one SD match and build up for a PPV or next week of TV
