Zack's gracious enough despite being massively busy to share his findings with us. I don't get why people want to drive him away. Petty jealousy I suppose.
We'd never even have half the knowledge about most of the greatest Hasbro findings EVER without him. I don't care if he's a wrestler or not, I'm just grateful that he shares with us.

I smell envy. Stop behaving like a kid who got his lollipop stolen.
Nothing wrong with not being able to throw a few thousands on an action figure, but why people always blame others who can, is beyond my understanding.

Hey, count me out on the envy thing haha. I'm anything but. I haven't done anything but given a fair opinion of what I thought of these figures while showing proper respect to the entire situation. Let's wait and see. Zack says he has a show, hold judgment. I'm anxious to see it. If I'm wrong, it's because very few had apparent information during this entire period. But I'd be wrong nonetheless. I'll admit it.
I have a gorgeous wife and 3 awesome kids...and, oh yeah...the complete Hasbro collection. In another life, Zack's existence would he fun as hell. And he seems like a cool dude. But my life is good, I wouldn't trade it for another man's. God has chosen to bless me with these things. Just an opinion on a figure, that's all.

I kinda cringed when I was asked "Do you own any Hasbro prototypes?" It just reeked of "if you're not in dis bizniss, you dont know and should have no opinion" I just asked for why I was flawed, or wrong. But Zack didnt buy either one. Bet if he did, he would require some validation. Which may be why he didnt go after them...but you guys would have to ask him that. I like him and Hawkins, but not on board with their thoughts regarding these figures, until I see something behind it beside the seller's personal story. From the way he presents himself on here, Zack Ryder seems like a total tool. I am all for giving people their due when it's deserved, but the simple fact that Zack Ryder (or Matthew Cardona as a person I guess?) has a little bit of fame and fortune and he acts as if he's a God in the figure world. He has the means to obtain the rare and obscure figures and protos we all wish we could because of his status as a semi-active WWE Superstar. Zack, you're not a God and without your fame, you'd be in the same boat as all of us regarding your knowledge of figures. You come off as pretentious when you try to throw your knowledge around by giving little tidbits and withholding critical information. Most of us are fans of your character on TV, but we're all fans of figures which is why we're here in the first place. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and until there is concrete evidence, your status of a semi-active WWE Superstar isn't going to sell your word to everyone. I am sure this post will either be deleted or I will be reported because Zack probably can't handle getting his feelings hurt, much like the rest of the world. I am telling you how things work in the real world, not your bubble of WWE fans that bow down to your every tweet or instapost. Good day. Attacking Zack/Matthew for being a fortunate man is not necessary. Zack said it himself about Lex selling for $8,100: "The game has changed." Wrestling figure collectors should blame themselves for astronomic values... On any given day I can buy a Kenner Star Wars testshot relatively cheap, not so with a Hasbro WWF testshot. Even though I'm pretty sure worldwide there are more Kenner Star Wars collectors than Hasbro WWF collectors! Yes testshots, plastic that was meant to end up in the trashbin! Then there are 2UPs and (painted or unpainted) prototypes: oh even more valuable! Wrestling figure collectors are crazy people: especially when the figure is different, rare, not available in the U.S. or unreleased. Yes, I consider myself crazy too, sure I've never paid over $200 for one figure: but still just under $200 for one figure that 20 to 40 years ago cost $5 - $15 in a store is plain crazy! Are the Lex and Doink painted prototypes legit? They most probably are: they were painted examples to show to the WWF office. I'm also sure that the attention they raised online caused the high endprices.

Agreed. No envy on my end whatsoever. If I wanted to drop thousands on a figure, I could. I am a self-made millionaire and I spend my money on other things. I don’t want to buy a prototype nor is that worth my time or money. I am a fan of the series but not enough to spend my money on it.
I appreciate Zack sharing his insights and findings but the fact still remains, without his fame, he’d be in the same situation we’re all in.
That’s why I said it comes off as pretentious and arrogant. Telling someone they’re wrong and expecting us to believe that just because of who is he and what’s he been able to find/share is why I feel it’s pretentious.
It’s similar to someone who name drops, Zack throws knowledge and expects everyone to treat it as gospel.

Oh you are a selfmade millionare. Totally changes everything. That was a simple statement to explain that while I could’ve won those auctions, it’s not worth my time or money to do so. Just like I could’ve purchased any other prototypes or unreleased figure had I wanted to. I’m sure if I offered Zack Ryder the right amount of money, he’d part with Tugboat and Brutus. My statement on Zack Ryder is that he’s not a God. And you guys treat him like one. It’s quite humorous actually.

Yes I am a ZR addict. It is all I live for, honestly. Always when he likes one of my posts here I show it to my medicore life wife and we will have some medicore life love for the next 2-3 minutes. Seriously man, stop crying. I honestly don’t care if you are a selfmade millionare, pro wrestler, married loving father or toy addict divorced. If I meat you on this board you are nothing more for me than a stranger who shares the same passion more or less. I don’t know anything about you, and it really doesn’t matter. However I believe joining a group like wrestlingfigs means that you have to treat each other with RESPECT. You don’t have to like everyone or agree on every topic. If you don’t like someone, fair enough. Noone is forcing you to interact with everyone. However if you do, you should do it in a respectfully way. Something your post was and your behavior still is lacking of. BTW something ZR always delivers. Anyway, pretty sure you won’t understand my point anyway. Could ZR have already given us more information he obviously has? Of course. But why? Chances are prices might have gone up on the bidding and if people want to hear his story, they will have to listen to his podcast. This is how you generate interest. As a selfmade millionaire you properbly know. Anway... hey Zack, like my post please.

As a selfmade millionaire you properbly know. Anway... hey Zack, like my post please. My behavior is lacking respect because I have an opinion about Zack Ryder coming off as pretendious? I'm confused. How is this anyway construed as crying? I never said anyone on here has a medicore life. Nor did I insult anyone directly, I said people on here treat Zack Ryder like a God. A mere observation. Even before his podcast and YouTube figure show, he would withhold information. In my industry, you better have something to back up your arguments with otherwise you're going to get eaten alive. And the reason that doesn't happen to Zack is because of who he is. Plain and simple. It has zero to do with showing respect to anyone. Because I haven't disrespected anyone on here. I am making a mere observation, criticism if you will. And the ones that take offense to that, well that's something you need to deal with within yourself. My opinions are mine, never told anyone they had to believe me nor did I say insult you, Casanova. I am simply stating my opinion but obviously unpopular opinions aren't allowed here.

Who knew action figures could be so upsetting? I mean, I've got my own opinions on the wisdom of spending what those things ultimately went for, all but sight unseen. I've made that perfectly clear a few posts back. I'm also perfectly middle class (as if anyone here cares about my or anybody else's financial or demographic situation ), so my spending habits are going to, naturally, be somewhat commensurate to Broski's, who I've no doubt makes significantly more than I do. I can look at this transaction and posit any number of stances on it to myself, but at the end of the day, if these things aren't what they're cracked up to be? I ain't the one who got hosed. I guess this is all a roundabout way of saying "big deal". If they're legit and worth (to Zack) what he was willing to spend? Good on him. If they aren't? We all got to watch a figure in the public eye drop $3,200 on a custom. Gnashing teeth over what's legit or not and busting out the rulers to measure one another on the basis of the depth of one's collection or the boisterous claims as to the girth of one's wallet isn't making anyone look better than anyone else.
