So if I have some rare pieces or prototypes can I legitimize these figs just from the pics? nothing wrong with continuing to speculate until definitive proof is provided. If none can be provided then its your own choice whether to accept them as real. No one can tell you your wrong either way.. (just my opinion)

If would seem to me that the repaints would more likely be the only ones available BECAUSE they were simple repaints. The others might not have reached that stage because they needed more build time.

I kinda cringed when I was asked "Do you own any Hasbro prototypes?"
It just reeked of "if you're not in dis bizniss, you dont know and should have no opinion"
I just asked for why I was flawed, or wrong. But Zack didnt buy either one. Bet if he did, he would require some validation. Which may be why he didnt go after them...but you guys would have to ask him that. I like him and Hawkins, but not on board with their thoughts regarding these figures, until I see something behind it beside the seller's personal story.

Hes seen the same photos we've all seen. Zack hasnt looked over any magical declassified Hasbro documents from June 1994..but my guess is he really wants this to be REAL - without taking that financial risk himself. Because trust me, this would be right up his alley of toys he'd trip over to obtain, so I think there is something in him that doubts it too. But as a fan, I hear him. I want it to be real as well.

All of the reasons why these are real will be discussed on the next Major WF Pod. Can’t respond to every single person who asks me a important question that needs a lengthy answer. Oh yeah. I bought Doink.

Hey, based on the point in time where we have no info and aren't told that no information with a backbone exists with these things, we form our most sensible thoughts based on what does exist to examine at that point in time. And like I've said a few times Zack, I'm fine with being wrong. I think we all want more info and I personally look forward to this episode because I'm intrigued for sure. You guys put on a great podcast and I admire what you do with vintage toys. I'm glad I'm apparently wrong about these documents, too. The Ebay seller said he had none, dont ask. Umm..yeah. But when these things go on auction and all of these revelations you are sharing have been omitted all week and even last night, you really can't blame anyone for forming such conclusions based on what little we know. I need not own a Hasbro prototype to know that. By the way, congrats and dont break any Doink fingers!

My understanding is that no prototypes were made after series 11 and that has come from one of the directors at Hasbro from that time scale. Are you suspicious of so many WWF Hasbro items reaching us today? There is at least one Holy Grail per year now available. There's fakers in all works of life and I'm suspicious of it happening in the WWF Hasbro circle. Star Wars got hit over the years aswel at Masters of the Universe plus others. For that I'm not entirely convinced with toy graders too. Who knows hey?

Those prices are crazy!!!
For the record, the figures look 100% legit. The paint, the damage, the foot pegs..

I always just thought it was crazy to do another Doink so soon after the purple cards. And why is Luger not in the correct attire?

Just because he's a wrestler doesn't make Zack Ryder a god as he's treated on here. I'm happy to listen to the show -- but agree with the above poster for all the reasons likely stated that they are fake.

Just my 2 cents worth but i think they are legit. I think we’ll continue to see pieces show up that don’t look quite right but turn out to be the real deal, especially later in the line... we all know hasbro got a bit lazy towards the end... maybe they did with their new product development too??

Oof. As an owner of exactly zero Hasbro prototypes and a trio of Hasbros that Sam Roberts could put to shame, I likely have no ground upon which to stand on this, but all the same, at $8,100 and $3,200 a whack, I hope the buyers are riding on some seriously corroborated faith that these are the real deal and not just the desire for them to be, 'cause that's one hefty tag to get hosed on, at least from this white collar schlub's point of view. I'm sweating like Bill Miekina over those bids, and it ain't even my money.

Luger's attire is kinda just missing deco rather than being inauthentic. Put a blue strip along the waistband and the white stripes and it'd be right.

Like I've said before this just all reminds me of the Brutus purple card proto that turned out to be real (which everyone doubted at first). Seems kind of identical. I really think these are real and can't wait to hear the pod.

My understanding is that no prototypes were made after series 11 and that has come from one of the directors at Hasbro from that time scale. Ron Rudat in a YouTube interview with ZombieSalor said that 2ups of the Series 12 Orange card figures were DEFINITELY made. 2ups are the first step of the prototype process, to my understanding, which makes your statement incorrect. You’re actually wrong about the documents. So... Zack DID get into the rumored Hasbro vault, I'm guessing?

Zombiesailor posted all of the orange card sketches directly from Ron Rudat. It’s on his Instagram. Go to his post where he is selling the orange card shirt and swipe right. He posted all of the artwork for the heads right around when he did the interview with Ron too.

You’re actually wrong about the documents. So... Zack DID get into the rumored Hasbro vault, I'm guessing? My statement is not incorrect. No full 2 ups were made for series 11 or anything after that. 2up head sculpts were made. As we have seen but not the full body workings. Reason being...Hasbro cut backs. To save money as Hasbro at that time we’re looking at new means in the toy world. I refere to 2ups and prototypes differently. 2ups being the bigger version and then obviously the prototypes standard size. For that how many prototypes of series 11 have you seen? None? Thought so. So why would a series 12 be made. And another thing Ron Rudat had a small contribution to prototypes, as he has mentioned. He was an art designer who drew up some of the sketches after 1991. Doing a fantastic job a long the way. So he wouldn’t really know. Another thing to add here that I’ve been researching other collections recently (Star Wars, MOTU etc) and over the years scammers have got involved forcing collectors to part with thousands. It’s an interesting thing to look at as you notice it’s more than one person involved with the activities. I do believe there is shadiness going on from shill bidding to fraudulently ripping people off passing items as legit. Making today not so enjoyable. As for Luger and Doink. I’m not convinced, the trader seems fair, but not for me. Maybe they were mash ups after series 8/9 which passed through the design stages, linking them with series 12/13 doesn’t wash with me though. I hope they’re legit.
