The wrestling, level of respect, and amount of screen time is the best it has ever been today. However, I have been watching clips from the Al Wilson saga, which is generally regarded as one of the worst storylines in the history of wrestling, and I thought it was absolutely fantastic. Torrie and Dawn Marie had a reason to hate each other, there were a ton of different locations (including many hotel rooms and a hilariously distasteful brawl at Al’s funeral where Torrie does the worst selling of having a lamp broken over her back ever) and they NEVER became friendly with each other at any point. It took months to tell the entire story, but everything moves at such break neck pace nowadays, there is little to no regard for the history any of the women share with each other and they are almost completely devoid of personality. The worst period for the women was when Beth Phoenix and Michelle McCool were the top dogs because it suffered from both the current problems and the past lack of respect. They had so many pointless multi woman tags, they flipped from face to heel on a dime and nothing mattered. The wrestling also sucked.
