Hawkins said on the podcast that Roode told him he was contacted about this in like January to submit the gear he’d wear at Survivor Series. Hawkins said he wore it for the kickoff match.. did he? I didn’t watch the match. So basically Roode, AJ, and Bliss were gonna wear this gear for the show and two of three were off the show.   Looks close. The figure's trunk colors looks more brown than red, but maybe it looks closer to red in person. Oh yeah no wonder I didn’t take notice, those damn shirts everyone had to wear. |

The only other thing I'll say is why put a Survivor Series shirt with Roode? During these RAW vs. SmackDown matches no one has ever worn the event shirts. If anything, they should have put either a RAW or SmackDown Live shirt with his figure, and if it was wrong, then it can just be chalked up to not knowing he'd switch shows by the time of the PPV. |

This is exactly what I had suggested at the beginning of the thread. If it had worked out, it would have been a first in wrestling figures (as far as I know), which is pretty cool. Just some real bad luck - Roode basically was forgotten about, Bliss had concussion issues at the end of the year, and Styles was off his first PPV in ages after a last minute title change. But props to Mattel for trying something new, and I hope all the people crapping on this doesn't discourage them from trying it again sometime. |

I found the Alexa Bliss attire lol she literally just wore the attire to promote the figure to make it "accurate" I “liked” your post just because I love photos of her, not because you found the attire. Lol |

The revelation that these were supposed to be up-to-the-minute relevant figures explains why there was an extra veil of secrecy with these. Very little comments about them with only banned pics to prove they actually exist.
Mattel went out of their way to try to give us something fresh and new, and we just crapped all over them. Aren't we all proud of ourselves?

I really want the Bliss and Styles figure. I don’t see why everyone is making such a negative deal about this series. More Elite figures are fine with me!

The AJ is perfect if you bootswap it with elite 56. Also like that he has the armband, and his head scan looks better with the face printing. The pants also look better with the japanese symbols in black.
Use elite 56 accessories on it and it’s the definitive AJ Styles figure.

I hate the fact these well designed and well made figures got crapped on... but people still CONSTANTLY give Mattel a free pass for terrible quality control because these are “mASS pRODucED FIGUrES!!”
