It was 32 years ago today. All these years later and numerous times watching it I still get nervous watching Hawk and Animal climbing that scaffold because of that moment where the safety bar Animal grabs falls off. You saw just how poorly they assembled that structure. Still it was a great event. Too bad Big Bubba missed catching Cornette causing him to blow out his knees. But surprised nobody else was more seriously hurt because of how poorly it was assembled.

Sorry PJ, but scaffolding talk should be on the hardware and construction section, not the classic wrestling section.
Lock it up!!

Damn 32 years. How time flies.
I remember The Andersons against the RNR Express being a really good tag match. The main event was good as well lame DQ aside. Damn shame for Magnum as you just know if the accident never happened he would've got the belt from Flair on that night.
The scaffold match yeah...That fall looked brutal.

I've read a lot of bad reviews of this show, but I loved it and so did a lot of people. It was the first VHS to go gold. Well the first wrestling one anyway. Also unlike most of the wrestling ppvs that have happened in the last 17 years, starcade 86 is so memorable that people are still talking about it 32 years later.

I'd down for that, might help my motivation block There's an Official Fantasy Booking thread stickied at the top of the page.

He would've of had a good run as champ no doubt about it. Him and Sting would've been the top 2 babyface draws for sure.
Speaking of Magnum, I bought his Mattel figure recently. Got em next to Dusty in my collection room.

Someone made a custom United States Championship for their figure and it looks great.
