Mattel: WWF/WCW/NWA 1985-2000ish. I only have one figure after WWF went to WWE (Fan Central HHH). I would collect pre-1985 but Mattel seems to not make many of those so I didn't pick up the Bruno Sammartino and Wild Samoans figures. If Mattel would produce more figures from before 1985 I would collect them.
Hasbro: WWF, I have a complete loose set (minus the Mailaway Hogan and Taker) and MOC set, (minus the rare prototypes). Also, missing the Mailaway Taker in bag.

The figures of wrestlers I like. Pre 1990 wrestlers I buy the ones I like as well as anyone who I look at that brings back a fond memory of watching wrestling with my father. I wasn’t a Bushwackers fan, but as soon as I saw the 2-pack on the pegs of TRU I remembered my father always trying to embarrass me when my friends were over, by marching around like them putting me in a headlock and licking the top of my head. That thought put a smile on my face so I purchased them. Anyone I purchased who wrestled after 1990 I have to have liked/enjoyed. If I didn’t/don’t find them entertaining then I don’t need them on my shelves.

Old School only for me. WWF,WCW/NWA,ECW etc. doesn't matter as long as it's old school and at a reasonable price

I'm something of a completist so I collect at least one figure of almost every wrestler from 1980 to now. There are exceptions as some wrestlers don't float my boat, some figures don't float my boat, and sometimes my wallet decides for me.
Generally I try to stick to one figure per era/gimmick per wrestler because of lack of display space and trying to stay on budget but there are a few wrestlers that I specifically look for and probably have too many figures of: AJ Styles is my current obsession. Seth Rollins too. I would love to see more figures of RVD as I got every one Mattel released except for the t-shirt series because how do you tuck a t-shirt into a singlet? HBK isn't a huge favorite of mine but so many of his figures are simply outstanding and I end up getting a lot of them. Undertaker has altogether too many unique looks that the completist is me has to have.

Used to collect one of everybody. Now only getting anyone pre 2002. Will very likely sell my collection in 2019. Have been thinking of doing it all year.

I started off with Jakks RA basic series where I had a bulk load of them then I got rid of them until I decided to begin a much better Mattel basic line but I only have particular ones so I'm not a completionist.

Mostly figures from my childhood - - Golden Era characters with emphasis on the Wrestlemania III roster. Sprinkle in some New Gens and Attitude Era players with a major, unhealthy obsession with Ken Shamrock and that would be my current collection.
