I know people are probably going to hate the whole Goldust have knee pads and whatnot but I sort of love the touch. It was one of those things that Hasbro did. Mix and match body parts to put a figure together.

Removable wig, I'd presume? Nice!

Well, glad to see Goldust confirmed. Glad it's not a jumper or the awful split torso look. But, they need to make some new molds. Not only should he not have the knee pads, but the Austin boots are too short, and he should be slightly taller and should look tubby not chissled.
And before everyone chimes in with "Hasbro reused molds and cut corners", they didn't start reusing molds until after about 50 figs in and by then in most cases they had enough variety to pick from that the figs still looked relatively close to the real guy. I don't think they really cheaped out bad until very close to the end, noteably the Smoking Gunns.

I think those both look pretty damn good.
If Hasbro had the WWF licence for another year or so that looks exactly like the Goldust figure we would have gotten. Very happy they decided to go with his debut look as it will fit in well with the original line. As long as that wig is removable, I'd consider this figure a homerun.
Orton looks really solid as well. They did a great job replicating all his tattoos in a way that isn't super realistic, but still looks authentic for the animated style this line is aiming for.
I'll take those Diesel proto pics any day now... 😁

Hopefully we see some more soon. Anyone know if the retro figure commercial with Ryder and Hawkins has aired yet? They said there would be reveals in it. Assuming Goldust, Orton and whoever the other 2 were going to be in this set?

Guys if we continue to compare quality of retros to Hasbros we will always be disappointed. Hasbro had 1 WWF line to worry about while Mattel has several. I’m just happy these are being produced. Braun is a new mold and hopefully we get several more new molds this year to add to the available options in regards to mixing and matching tops and bottoms.

It’s the wrestlers who don’t have elbows pads or knee pads or have different boots and so on will suffer with the reuse of parts/molds.

I'm tempted to try that Goldust wig on Barry Windham.

Anybody think they'll give Goldust deco on the back of his attire?
That would be really awesome.

Yeah, at the stage of the game where we could have gotten a Goldust from Hasbro I could imagine it looking something like this. I could have easily seen them using the Macho King body or something like that.

That Goldust is kinda disappointing. The arm and hand going down just look out of place to me.

Then I feel the MSRP should reflect the "budget" nature of the line. They should probably be around half the price they're retailing for. Like $7 at retail I think would be realistic. $13 is just absurd for the quality and detail they're putting out.

That goldust is nice the arm is a little weird but I’ll still pick it up when it’s out.
