Received my S92 pre-orders. Everything about Mandy should be great - nice outfit choice, great paint apps, nice hair sculpt...but the people who called it back when the pics dropped were right: HER HEAD IS HUGE. I've never seen anything like it in a Mattel figure. It's like she's got a jack-o-lantern sized head sitting on her shoulders.
I figured this might just be an Eva Marie NXT figure situation where the prototype looks a little odd, but the figure came out great. Uh, NOPE. You literally cannot stand this figure next to anyone in the line, male or female, without her head looking freaky af. It also just sorta hangs forward off of her neck in a really weird way because it's too big. Figure looks more like it's someone wearing a Mandy Rose mask.
How in the f*** did this get by Mattel's QC team?

I'm already dreading Mattel never releasing an Elite Mandy because of poor sales of this one Edit: Thats weird, I cant find any reviews of the figure. I thought for sure there would be several by now. (I plan to write a review when I get one)

But you cant complain because you get the usual, its a toy, or its mass produced, all that nonsense, the women figures, except Nia, are all bad, they use that stupid body, with moulded bra or straps, painted over the top, they cant do blonde hair properly, hands are gangly and lanky, and they look crap, as I say, except Nia and maybe the latest Natalya

Any pics? Maybe comparison pics with other figures to see how off it is? Because when looking at the head size minus the hair piece it doesn’t look to big in this pic.

Does the attempt at her low cut shorts look any better in person? I'm glad we are getting a Mandy figure, but why can't Mattel get the color gold right? The upcoming Charlotte Basic is canary yellow and Mandy is a copper color. Also, it took me awhile to figure out why they gave Mandy a "V" on the front her trunks. Then I realized they are trying to recreate the low cut look. It looks odd to me the pictures, hopefully it will look better in person. However, unless the flesh colors match perfectly, there is little chance of that.

yea I knew it would happen... this is my biggest gripe.. they really cant figure out how to consistently get the same head size. they seem to always go too big or too small.. Like Elias head I think came out too small ..

Here was the reference picture Bill was working from for scale. Seems pretty accurate to me...

Everyone I've asked has said the head is the same size as most women but the hair piece makes it look bigger cause she has a "fuller, thicker" looking hair.

Bill doesn't work on basics anymore. I mean as long as we're getting our facts straight, I guess that's not actually the real reference picture Mattel used either... my lies have been exposed.

Also, I promised myself I wouldn't care about toys this much, but this potential fiasco is bumming me out. Where are the pics, peeps?
Edit: The one in the ringside video looks...okay.

If you go back and notice first time figures usually end up looking a mess and nothing like the wrestler, it usually takes them a few tries to nail the scan

How in the f*** did this get by Mattel's QC team? It's Mattel's QC Team you're talking about... They're a joke at this point. With 3/5 figures being botched with paint apps, part choices, using the right parts (Because apparently it's too hard to put the same sized arms on both sides), figures breaking straight out of the box among other things. I feel like WWE sent all their Monkey writers to go work at the Mattel factory. Taking away articulation, doing half f***ed jobs on paint application, not even realising they're putting two completely different parts on a figure, giving the green light to figures that are a total mess... Yet still charging full price for them. Now, it's at the point where someone buys a figure and is trying to guess what will be wrong with it, because they're so used to everything they buy being messed up or broken. People who pay $20, $30, $40, $50 for an Elite shouldn't be worrying about that. I remember back when Jakks was the WWE figure line, i rarely EVER had a broken figure, messed up paint job and never had a botched parts application. The only time some would ever break is when i'd throw them down the stairs trying to do a '100 feet high Swanton through 4 tables, 5 chairs and 2 ladders' Maybe Mattel can learn a few things from Jakks and most other figure companies. *Drops Mic, Storms off the back and tells Vince i'm leaving*

Jesus they cut those shorts too low. The way the Mattel figures are molded, the top of her cookie would be hanging out of those shorts lmao. If they lessened the angle at the top of the shorts and raised them up it would look much better. Doesn’t solve the big head tho
