Hello everyone. I just wanted to share with everyone here, over the past 24 years, my "Holy Grail" of action figure collecting has been the 1994 Rey Misterio Jr AAA Kelian figure. I cannot begin to tell you how many stores in Tijuana I visited in 1994 and 1995 to attempt to locate it and never did (it was only released in Northern Mexico, along with the Psicosis and Mascara Sagrada, also pictured here). A month ago, I was able to come into the Rey and the Mascara Sagrada from a seller in Germany. The Rey is in decent shape and the Sagrada is in amazing shape for its age. The figure arrived a week and a half ago, which was great timing considering that WWE had TLC in San Jose and a Smackdown house show in Stockton, CA this past weekend. Luckily, I ran into Rey and Dominic in the parking lot before the show, and Rey gladly signed the figure. Rey has been fully aware of my hunt for the figure since its release (we have known each other since 1990 and he often worked shows in Compton in 1994/1995, which I attended every week) and we even talked about it in detail this past August at the ExpoLucha event in Las Vegas, so finding this really is a highlight. He signed the front in black, and signed the back in gold in his old AAA name with "Jr" on it. For those wondering, I currently have 11 of 12 of the AAA Kelian figures MOC. The only one I am missing is the Fuerza Guerrera (obviously if anyone has one/knows someone, please message me), and out of the 11 Kelian's I have, six of them are autographed (Konnan, La Parka, Blue Panther, Octagon, Rey Jr, Psicosis).

He's been really cool through this whole purchase! I was hoping to run into him this past weekend to show it to him personally but we were in different arenas each night

Very nice!
I only have Heavy Metal, Konnan, La Parka & Perro Aguayo MOC. Heavy Metal was my favorite lucha back in the '90s.

Hi Guys, Its been a while but I'm pleased to see your all still here! AAA Kelian's are still highly collectable, especially the impossible 4. Its awesome Rey signed your card. Back in the 90's and even 2000's AAA stars refused to sign Kelian's as they were promised a cut of sales and never received anything. I remember the feeling of completing this awesome set: forum.wrestlingfigs.com/thread/253124/holy-grailCongratulations.

Great collection. Getting those final four mint on card are a beast to collect. I've managed to snag the common 8 MOC, but those others are difficult pick-ups. Last month, I was able to grab 30 Kelian figures from Mexico -- sight unseen -- unfortunately, most of them have serious play wear. Not even like a few scratches and dings; some of these figures look like they went to war. In the box, I was able to find the sacred four: Rey, Fureza, Psicosis, and Sagrada. But man...they're pretty roached. I'm happy to have them in any shape, but I plan on eventually upgrading. Could be years before that happens though. The joy of the hunt. ... And after that, all you have to find is the ring for these I've only ever seen 1 example of the ring.

You're 100% correct, none of the guys got compensated for them, as confirmed by Psicosis when I met him in August to sign his figure. He had no clue about the rarity of his figure either

Has anyone ever found the AAA Kelian ring in the wild? In all of my years of collecting, I've never seen this ring pop up. From the photo, it appears to be a Hasbro King of the Ring base with the AAA logo and different turnbuckles. It's easy to discredit it as a custom, but the box art looks pretty legit. It heavily recycles some of the Hasbro artwork - even features the winged eagle - but with Kelian figures. I've been hunting for this ring for several years now and have never come across it.
Here's a photo:

The MOTHERSHIP!
Great feeling to hunt for something that long and finally score. I don't think it's just the rarity of these figures, but IMO these are superior in sculpt and design to their CMLL cousins of the same time frame. And I love the CMLL figures.

Congrats to a fantastic set and a even better story. This is what makes collecting to hunting. The road. Really enjoyed this story! Nevertheless seeing this magnificent pieces pinned on a wall, does hurt a little. You should really get yourself 12 (yes 12, not 11, go for it!) acrylic cases. It does add alot to the display. 🍻
