Hey, I was wondering if anyone had more insight into how mass produced the Ringside Exclusive actually are. There have been some exclusives over the past few years that I passed on, assuming they would be available later in the year(holiday sales, ect), and ended up never getting. Now faced with the option of buying them off eBay(Jericho, Hall nWo), I'm trying to figure out if i should pull the trigger now on that Bret KOTR figure and buy whatever else to make the free shipping requirement. I was worried about Wolfpac Macho, Nash, and Sting selling out so i preordered them, even though they were still available like a year later. Not sure if anyone else has had this conundrum. Thanks.

You can never be sure. They get more of some than others depending on how well they are selling. Sometimes ringside orders a second round of them I think. But if they go out of stock and ringside doesn’t get more then the price on the secondary market will start to shoot up big time.

There’s always been plenty of time to get every Ringside exclusive. Even the ones that we consider selling out quick were listed on the site for at least 6-9 months before their inventory was depleted. Anyone that misses out is their own fault.

I just have a rule of thumb...if you like the figure or think you might regret not getting the figure down the line, pick it up when you get the chance. Don't always wait for the price to keep going down. In the earlier days of Mattel a lot of people got burned that way and missed out, and now look at the price on the secondary market of those exclusives. Pay a couple more bucks on here now or you could risk paying a WHOLE BUNCH of bucks down the road.

I think they get a lot more than we think. Ringside HBK was in the top 10 weekly sellers forever. Either they get a lot of them or ringside doesn't sell a lot of product.

its best to buy them when they are priced at around 19.99 during the sales if you are holding out for the best deal. Otherwise you risk not getting one at all and having to buy them from another place.

I wouldn't take the risk of waiting. Its such a great figure imo, my regret is not purchasing it sooner.

Like others have said, don't wait on an exclusive you want, because when you finally decide you want it, it just might be gone.

Mattel has stated they wont make retail/online retail figure in quantities of less then 5000 so that's a ball park idea.

The rarity of these seems very hit or miss. Some of them are off the charts overpriced now on the second hand market, while others are still at face value. It’s always blown my mind which ones end up being highly sought after.
