Loved the episode. I've listened to the show since the first episode and you always do fun shows. This one though, was a cool in-depth deep dive.
To top all that off, I even managed to learn something new.
The odd picture that comes up when searching "orange card heads" that has a Hogan, Savage and Undertaker head.. always confused me why they were there too. I'll not get into why the Bart Gunn head is there, as I'm still confused on that.
A Hasbro Hall of Fame series with those heads, ooohhh. Hell. To. The. Yes.
Cool info guys.

A great episode guys. I could listen all day with talk about my WWF Hasbros lol. Thanks for something really fun and interesting for the holidays. I especially loved hearing about memories of first discovering new figures and finding them in stores back before we had any internet. Always loved the excitement of that.

I'm back to work tonight, so this is my top priority listening material tonight! Been looking forward to this, the show needs more Hasbro/retro talk.
Also will be looking forward to the special q/a episode, hope there's a lot of good Hasbro questions in there too!
I also wish there were a way to interact with the show for those who don't use twitter. I know your on here from time to time Zach, but this isn't really used to pull your q/a or anything like that.

Halfway through, fun to hear even though I've already had my mind blown by almost all of this stuff already. Just a fun listen.

It's not podbean, but I always download directly to my phone off of playerfm website. If that helps.

Would anyone mind posting some of the top news items in the podcast that we didn't know about before (like with the head sculpts in the previous post). Half my Hasbro collection was stolen or is missing -- and seems to painful to listen to a whole show about tons of figures I no longer have. But I'd really love to hear some of this news. I'd appreciate it!

A fun listen as always. Keep up the great work.
Side note, what happens to the show if one of you gets moved to another show?

Good podcast. Wouldn't mind seeing some of those 3D printed R&B Hammer figures.

Just finished the show, great info! Wish you would do a part II though, I feel like there was more detail that could have been covered and sounded like you could have gone on more lol.
When talking about Series 5 you were alluding to finding them in odd order or something. I wondered if you both remembered which ones you got first? For me, I found Mountie, Anvil, Sid, Warlord and Virgil first. And then it was about 2 months until I found the other 5. If you look at the asst numbers in the white box on the card, you'll notice they were broken into 2 assortments. That's why I never understood why they are considered one series, when there seemed to be time in between the 2 waves. You'll also notice in the WWF Magazine ad, the Mountie/Anvil/Virgil/Warlord/Sid wave are first followed by the next 5 and the names are color coded by wave/assortment.
Also, Bossman #2 should be considered Series 4, not Series 3. Everyone always lumps him into S3 (I guess because his comic is on the back of S3 cards for some reason), but he was in the casepacks w/ Bret, Taker, Dragon and Bulldog. He's also in the commercial for S4 and shown with them in the ToyFair catalog.

If they look better than the retro's I'll also take a Tugboat, HF Jim Neidhart, HBK w/ Virgil's body, Mega Maniacs Brutus, and the rumored Orange Card Series. Just finished the show, great info! Wish you would do a part II though, I feel like there was more detail that could have been covered and sounded like you could have gone on more lol. Yeah, I think most people lump Boss Man #2 in with series 3 because his line art is on the backs of all series 3 figure cards. Same with the tag teams, some people like to put LOD and the Nasty's with series 4 but they are listed as available on the backs of series 3 figures cards. These guys are good, I can remember when I got some of the figures but not every single one. Then again, I never got a whole series all at once, maybe if I did it would be easier to remember. I liked the end of the podcast when they were listing their dream black card series figures. I think some of their choices would have been too early for the next wave/series (Supreme Fighting Machine Kama, King Kong Bundy, Allied Powers Davey Boy, Mr. Bob Backlund). Since the green card figures were basically from late 1993 and the orange card series figures were from early 1994, I would say that the black card series figures would have to be from mid 1994. If so, these would be the seven figures I would think would make up the black card series (went with 7 since that's how many the green card series and the rumored orange card series had): Purple Undertaker Bret Hitman Hart King of Harts Owen Hart Jerry the King Lawler Thurman Sparky Plugg Jacques (the Quebecers) Pierre (the Quebecers)

This is exactly what I remember too. I am a few years older than the hosts, so I was transitioning from kid playing with toys to toy collector at the time Hasbros were happening. It always bothered me the way those series/waves were lumped together. I suppose the closest to compare it to is WWE Mattel Retro series 1 where the first ones came out, followed by Ultimate Warrior and Undertaker in later waves, but they're all part of series 1. Also, yellow boots Dusty isn't "sun damage"...but it is damage. I have one that has been protected for years that is yellowing, and one that isn't. Both kept the same. Several figures with parts molded in white plastic have this problem. I think we need a podcast with a plastics expert to explain this. At the very least it would supplant the Ron Rudat interview as most boring Hasbro figure related discussion.
