It’s very obviously going to be Sasha and Bayley winning it. Which sucks, as they’re two of the worst females on the main roster at the moment.

I'm really excited for Women's Tag Team titles! It's a championship that was very much needed. Now instead of meaningless tag feuds, they can actually have something to fight for. Hopefully the next plan is for an all-womens brand to give them time to shine.
Yes, this is another championship to add to the PPV cards. If we limit the criteria to either RAW or SmackDown Live championships, the men have 6 championships to fight over. The women only have 2. I don't care if some people want to moan that "there are too many titles!!!!!". Increasing that 2 to a 3 is an important step towards equality.
I think it'll be a booking travesty if the Boss and Hug Connection are not the first champions though. They're two of the most talented on the roster, yet have been atrociously booked for a very long time. They look like a team, they wrestle like a team. This new championship would finally shine a spotlight on them once again.

If only the Jumping Bomb Angels show up with the original tag titles....

I just personally don't see it working as WWE is struggling with their current tag team division. I give the womens tag titles a few months before it becomes a fail.

women wrestling is boring AF so no. Sad but true... Aside from the recent SD Women's Title matches, the rest of this whole 'Evolution' hasn't put on many better matches than before people started taking them seriously.

This is a much needed decision imo. There is way too much roster depth in that division, not to have tag titles.
I won't be calling for an IC title anytime soon, but tag is an absolute must.

men's wrestling is boring AF so no. Corrected to suit the present. The women are greatly outperforming the men in WWE right now, we can argue the semantics of just who's fault that is, but it's true.

I think they need to merge all these titles into one of each and have people from either brand challenge for them. There's just way too many belts, and none of them matter. Give us: Heavyweight Intercontinental Tag Team Cruiserweight Women's Women's Tag Team Plus, that would also give us symmetry with there being six NXT/UK titles as well. I'm in like 90% agreement with you. Only difference is I think each brand should have a brand specific mid card title. So keep the Intercontinental and US titles but merge the Universal/World titles, Raw/ SDL Tag titles, and Raw/SDL Women's titles. Have those champions appear on both brands. But...the symmmmmmetry...

At this point they might as well give everyone in the company a title.

I just hope this delay in announcing them is because they decided to go with a different design. The design that was "seen" by few was said to be very similar to the current mens titles but with feminine details....the tag titles are garbage.

Lets count the current number of Championships in WWE. 1. WWE Championship 2. Universal Championship 3. Intercontinental Championship 4. United States Championship 5. Cruiserweight Championship 6. RAW Tag Team Championships 7. Smackdown Tag Team Championships 8. RAW Women's Championship 9. Smackdown Women's Championship 10. RAW Women's Tag Team Championships (I'm assuming they'll introduce two sets) 11. Smackdown Women's Tag Team Championships (I'm assuming they'll introduce two sets) 12. NXT Championship 13. NXT North American Championship 14. NXT Women's Championship 15. NXT Tag Team Championships 16. NXT-UK Championship 17. NXT-UK Women's Championship 18. NXT-UK Tag Team Championships I'm going to assume they'll add these Titles eventually so: 19. WWE 6-Man Tag Team Championships 20. WWE 6-Woman Tag Team Championships 21. NXT-UK European Championship (NXT-UK Mid-Card) With that said...

If the belts are cross brand belts I am okay with it. If each brand is getting a set then I could care less.

At this point they might as well give everyone in the company a title. "Participation championships". This way, everybody's a winner, and no feelings get hurt.

I'm mostly unperturbed by this. While I feel that it's a relatively milquetoast attempt at expanding the reach of expansion the women's division has seen in recent years, I'm generally okay with most attempts to do so, even if they do lack any real creative or inspired spark. Throwing a new title into the mix seems to be the paint by numbers way of providing a means to an end. Sometimes, it's the obvious choice (a second tier NXT title). Sometimes, it seems destined to fall to the pre-show after the theatrics have subsided.
I'll chalk it up to a win, if for no other reason than it gives Bayley and Sasha something more consequential to be doing.

To everyone saying too many titles, that’s what happens with a brand split. There’s actually less men’s titles on each exclusive show then there was in the late 90’s. Now you just add 2 more women titles to that which makes sense

I don't care about the grand total of titles beneath the WWE banner, so long as they maintain a general line of division between the programs, which, for the most part, they have.

It seemed to me that WWE was going to oversaturate the women’s division in such a short time with everything they’ve done as far as MITB, Women’s rumble along with a woman specific PPV and women main eventing but it sure looks like the women have taken the main stage in WWE, which is great. So.... it. Sounds like a good idea at this time. I’m not a huge fan of women’s wrestling but it definitely has been successful for WWE as far as them pushing the ladies more. Worst case is it doesn’t work out.
