Has Jericho ever faced Kazarian or Daniels? Hope that happens. As far as I can tell, no. Jericho/Daniels is a match that I wish could have happened 10-15 years ago. I think one of the more interesting things to watch is how they use Omega, Jericho, and to a lesser extent Cody. Jericho and Omega slot near the top of the card for any promotion in the world right now. Who else can realistically come in at that level to create a main event scene? Kenny is someone you can build a company around, but you need people who come across as credible threats or it just falls flat. Sure, you can build guys over time. But from day one? It seems like a tough task. But there are plenty of roster announcements to come, so we'll see.

I would say as of right now the top of the card would be Jericho,Omega,Rhodes,PAC & Page and like you stated with more roster moves to come two or three other names added to the main event scene.I would assume that Jericho would be treated kind of like Taker & HBK in the later stage of their careers in WWE by which I mean he's in big time matches but doesn't have to be in the world title mix and would also assume at least to start the company out that Cody would take a little bit of a back seat and not put the World Title on himself.

Are they going to tour the country or just do what NXT does at Full sail and keep one place?

I hope the they keep the following people as far away from this company as possible- Hulk Hogan, Eric Bischoff, Kevin Nash, Vince Russo, Disco Inferno, and the Nasty Boys. No matter how desperate they get.

I think it's safe to assume that tag wrestling will be a major feature of AEW's product. The Bucks and Revival would be great anchors to build a tag division around. Then again, those are the same reasons WWE might refuse to let them out of their deals.

Bucks, Revival, Kazarian & Daniels. That would be a great start. Then you build up stars as you go along.

In all honestly The Revival are just a solid tag team that can put on good matches. That's it,nothing about them is really that special in terms of their looks, mic skills or most important of all a real connection with the crowd. To me they don't have that "IT FACTOR" or drawing ability as a top tier tag team like the Hardys,Dudleys,E&C,New Day,Young Bucks,Briscoes...ect just a solid mid card tag team is all. With that said AEW would be smart to bring them in to help fill out their roster of tag teams and in WWE really should grant their releases along with a few others that might ask.Again they don't really draw and clearly the WWE doesn't view them as draws or important in the overall big picture of things.Guys like Ryder,Dillinger,Breeze,Fandango,Slater...ect all fall in the same category. If they asked for their releases I would give them on the spot.

Well another report just came out that both Maria & Mike have asked for their releases as well.Seems like a lot of talent are going to ask for their release now,and in all honestly the WWE should grant most of them.If the WWE doesn't view them as draws or really have any short term or long term plans why keep them around. So much talent in WWE right now between the main brands,NXT and talent being brought in letting go of talents like The Revival,Mike & Maria,The Colons,Ryder,Hawkins,Dillinger...ect would be no big lose at all.

Ryder would be able to get over surprisingly well. He’s a likeable guy. I wouldn’t mind Dillinger having some spotlight too.

Watching the range of reactions to every AEW announcement is really entertaining.
Apparently AEW won't be hiring writers. It sounds like they may be taking a more "old school" approach where talent will have more control over promos, probably with a loose outline of what they want to get across or points to hit for the storyline.
I'm all for it. At the same time, I wonder how many workers really know how to cut a promo anymore, ala "good lucha things."

I'm all for it. At the same time, I wonder how many workers really know how to cut a promo anymore, ala "good lucha things." I would think mostly anyone cutting promos outside of WWE. Nobody is handing guys word-for-word scripts besides WWE to my knowledge. Maybe LU did for the vignettes but that's a different animal. Mike and Maria are a talking act if they jump. MJF, Cody, Jericho and Marty are all great talking acts. I look for the promo work and presentation to be what largely sets them apart right out of the gate because it should be so drastically different. I'm hoping they can pull a guy like Eli Drake and/or Sami Callihan over, too. That's the magic of this whole deal. The Bucks/Cody don't have any preconceived ideas of what a talent should/shouldn't be. They're just trying to put on the best possible show. I think we're going see a very NWA/early WCW approach to most of what they're doing. Also, because I saw his name and I know he's good friends with Cody, but I don't think Zack Ryder is ever leaving WWE unless he gets released. Zack will sit on that bench for as long as it takes for them to call his number again. It's such a shame too because he was so creative with the Youtube show and he's doing the figure podcast and I think he would really thrive in a DIY style environment. The STOMP in Paradise thing they just did is right out of the BTE playbook.
