Listening to the post-game thing with Khan. I'll save the Revolution specific stuff for that thread, but a few other things:
Tony really likes Maki Itoh (duh) and wants to have her in as often as possible. No word on how long she's staying right now.
Reba probably won't be in the tag match on Wednesday either. Why he's doing that angle twice in a row is unclear lol, but expect her not to be in that 6 woman tag.
Pac/Fenix vs. Bucks will be likely in about 3-4 weeks. He said for sure well in advance of DON.
Christian actually made the first call to Tony, not the other way around. Came together in a matter of a couple weeks.
Women will be main eventing dynamite within the next few weeks. He put over Shida huge.
Someone asked about Red Velvet - essentially confirmed she'll be getting her allelite graphic soon. Velvet herself already spoiled she's on a full time contract but nice for Khan to confirm essentially.
Ethan Page has been in the works for a long time. Part of the delay was getting his work visa sorted. Khan mentioned he's super excited for Page because having the Dark Order turn face overnight meant he was down like 7 heels and needed more depth there.
Swole -- A lot of her absence has been due to her Chron's flare-ups. I kinda had a feeling.

If AEW is still following the "rankings matter" mentality, the current top contenders for the world title based on singles matches would be:
1. Adam Page (6-0) 2. Pac (3-0), Hobbs (3-0) and Max Caster (3-0) 3. 10 (4-1) 4. Lance Archer (3-1) 5. Miro (2-0), Scorpio Sky (2-0) and Orange Cassidy?? (2-0)
I'm sure they'll find an excuse to remove Page from the rankings again, so are we betting on Archer or Pac being the next contender?

Jake Roberts and Don Callis promos would be fun. Also gives PAC some time to team with Fenix before putting him back into singles. Give Christian a few wins too and he could be a viable contender as well.

Archer as a full blown face would be perfect right now, especially with him losing all momentum as a heel. Having an intense and aggressive big man tearing through Kenny's company only to lose through b.s. fashions would be perfect for building him up again for more meaningful runs. That would also buy enough time for Christian to get a few wins, since that's all that's needed to become 1# contender these days

So Raj Giri, the tool who had to retract his statement about Christian having a WWE deal, had this to say about Shida, hence the tool.
"Well Shida's only pushed because she's Kenny's girlfriend". Aka the same BS narrative people said about Riho when she was champion.
What a loser. Matt Morgan looked so taken aback and was just kinda like "uhh...". Then Raj tried to backtrack and be like "Oops, guess we'll edit that". Loser.

I know the men's roster is full, but dear god make an exception if Chad Gable becomes available.

I'm gone 24 hours and a 35 post argument ensues. It's gone now.

Raj has joined my muted list now. That is not the first ridiculous comment he has made in the last week or two. He was careful enough with that comment to not word it so it would get him cancelled. But still a guy who thinks like that isn't worth listening to.

Anyone else not big on the Ethan Page signing? I liked him in The North but don’t care for him much as a singles guy. He screams Shawn Spears 2.0 to me which isn’t much.

I saw him a lot in AAW as a top guy when he was going through the showing his ass (literally) phase. He has chemistry with Darby from Evolve and I think he could have a few really good feuds. Like I posted in another thread, I think he'd be a good fit with Spears and FTR. He's a talker and AEW is a promotion where talkers thrive (look at Eddie Kingston).

Between male and female combined, being what felt like insanely picky, I came up with 19 total. I turned down a lot of good talent to get that 19

I think Hangman challenging and losing at Double or Nothing is on the table. Pac and Archer will be challengers. I could also see Fenix and Pentagon getting another crack at him as well. We'll also see Christian climb the rankings pretty fast.

Would make sense if getting reunited with the Bucks to also stop the good brothers is going to be part of the story.

I'll die on that hill. lol

Would make sense if getting reunited with the Bucks to also stop the good brothers is going to be part of the story. Hangman shouldn't beat Omega the first time he challenges. I'll die on that hill. lol Haha yeah, I can really see both stories being good. Situation A: Hangman loses at DoN, likely was planned all along. Goes on his major redemption arc, beats Omega at whatever event, obviously kicking out of the One Winged Angel. Obviously fantastic story, etc etc. Situation B: Hangman wins at DoN (or whatever time he faces him for the first time, but given my argument here I think DoN would make the most sense). Again, he obviously kicks out of the One Winged Angel. This one ends with Good Brothers being a distraction, hangman getting distracted, the entire Dark Order (called on by -1) coming to save Hangman and beat the ever living tar out of the Good Brothers. Hangman is still too distracted, Kenny hits the OWA, Hangman kicks out. The Dark Order goes ballistic, Hangman uses that fuel and hits a Buckshot Lariat for the win. (Not a deadeye, very important that it's a buckshot. Also the DO does not have to do the spot where they catch hangman here. It's better if they don't.). Hangman gets his moment in front of likely the biggest crowd since the pandemic started, hoisted on the shoulders of the entire Dark Order. Closes with the Bucks coming out, having a tense moment, but eventually just showing how happy they are for hangman, and those 3 patch up as well. Here's why I think going with B may be the better option right now. 2 or 3 things factor in here. First and foremost, the Dark Order is hot as hell. We don't know if it's gonna last forever outside of John Silver, who is a goddamn star. Take advantage of it while its hot. There's something to be said for knowing when to alter course in that sense. Secondly, while you, myself, and a lot of people, are going to be plenty happy ordering the next PPV despite the ending to this last one, there are going to be quite a few that are going in very nervous. Giving them two negative endings in a row might not be the best marketing strategy right now. Having this big Hangman moment come sooner, with the DO by his side, is about the best feel good end moment you can have. 3. It allows for Mox and Kenny to have a crazy rematch without the title being involved. Reason being otherwise you have Mox dropping 3 straight to Kenny. This way, Mox can win that one, furthering Kenny's fall from grace, and allowing Mox to get some revenge without being in the title picture. Obviously there are cons to my way as well, but I think there are enough pro's they can totally justify doing it this way sooner rather than later.
