I’m going to say it. If Tony picks up Sasha, she would be the third biggest signing in the companies history besides Punk and Bryan. MAYBE 4th?? cuz Jericho is bigger than Sasha banks all day every day and twice on sunday. Jericho gave AEW legitimacy and probably got them a primetime cable slot At the time of Jericho signing? Sure. I’d say though right now in 2022, Sasha has a bigger fan base and has more potential to bring in viewers than Jericho could. Over the last few years Jericho has turned many fans against him with his personal actions and views, while the people that dislike Sasha always have. Not to mention Sasha is a much bigger name than anyone in their womens division.

I was very glad to see that come up and Britt and Marina like it. Rosa was an unprofessional knob in that match, and it completely turned me off of her. I've seen her do this crap before lots, she's kinda known for it on the indie scene, but this was the highest profile setting I can recall her doing it. Given how much Marina needed that match after the Jade one, it was just an ultimate bush league move. Count me in on the "get the belt off Rosa cuz she can't handle it" camp. Rosa sucks in my opinion. She just can’t hang with deeb, Britt, Shida, riho etc. glad others are seeing it too. The best thing about her in AEW has been her figure 😅 "Can't hang with Britt". Lol, okay. She'd have to be really bad, to not be able to hang with Britt Baker.

I would agree that Sasha would be their biggest name on their female roster, besides Britt they don't really have that real big name just yet. I guess PVZ would be the that big name,i forgot about her but I don't know how her contract is gonna work(how much is she gonna wrestle).
Punk,Bryan,Mox and Jericho would be the biggest signings that AEW has had so far personally and I can't see Sasha topping any of them but she would be in that next level imo.

Rumor is Okada might actually not be doing forbidden door. Yeah I didn't expect him to be. Isn't his baby due in the next couple weeks?

Beginning of August, when the story first broke it was that he requested that week off for his wife bday, but then it became this is a big deal, not like the small hall new Japan shows. But now it looks like he is actually off the show. Which begs the question if the companies top star can’t do the show, then why do it?

As of right now, Miro/Black/PAC/TBD is the match I’m most excited for on the show.

Even if it wasn't Andrade that faced Ospreay...there are at least 10-15 people I would rather see in that spot than Cassidy.

Meltzer really needs to stop lying to make AEW look bigger, it damages the product with people. He wrote this big article in the observer that the LA Times wanted to do this big article on Tony Khan and AEW and that WWE doesn’t get that type of coverage etc but Tony was just too busy for them. Except he made the LA Times look so inept that they of course responded.
Which was that a writer pitched covering AEW to the times and they looked at their numbers and passed…..this was all no fault of AEW, but Meltzer cooking up this story and exaggerating everything where now AEW looks bad and is probably something the times won’t revisit in the future. The guy like so many old timers is wrestling has passed his peak of usefulness and needs to go.
I don’t love Alvarez’s opinions a lot of the time either, but he at least understands wrestling fans today and doesn’t lie out of his ass like Meltzer does.

Maybe people will stop accusing him of being on the payroll finally?

I know this is random...but I just rewatched Lio Rush vs Taiji Ishimori from NJPW Autumn Attack night 2 for the first time since seeing it live, and I still wish AEW could've found a way to work with Lio Rush. I know there were probably other factors that went into it...but he would've been such a natural fit to that company.
I loved his 2 or 3 week run as a team with Dante Martin...and just imagine the singles matches he could've had against Danielson, Punk, Guevara, Jericho, Allin, etc.
Hope he returns one day.
