I wish Jade would throw me into the ground like Hulk did to Loki. You're starting to get close to Keben2.0 levels of cringe, man. Every week with: "I wish she'd (insert physicality here) to me." Nah because I’m not overly sexualizing them. Just mixing my admiration with my desire to not be alive most the time.

PWinsider is reporting Regal is going back to wwe to regain his dream job of head of talent development and scouting. Doesn’t sound like he will be an on air character though.

with ftr facing acclaimed next week, but acclaimed having only held titles for a little while, do they give ftr the win as a dq or something, with a redo at next ppv? surely they get the titles soon and have all the belts, or is that just a pipe dream?

Obviously we won’t know for sure until it happens but if Regal really had a Triple H clause in his AEW deal, that’s really cool of Tony to agree to that. Seems like Regal never wanted to be elsewhere to begin with.

Or just like if I have an opportunity to regain my position?

The man carries a lot of respect so I’m sure he just asked could he get out of his contract.

Yea he has said on his podcast that his work signing, scouting, and developing talent was the best thing he has ever done in his life and not one day felt like work. He said he was crushed when he was let go.

Not a big fan of Khan usually but this is cool of him. Yeah, I don't think I can be a boss of a company because anytime someone would be unhappy or would want to go back to WWE, I would let them go instantly. lol Like I would feel like I'm holding people "hostage". So it is cool if that job means that much to Regal that TK would let him go for it.

How good of friends do we actually think EC3 is with Regal? EC3 has said Regal has hated his time in AEW and their is a huge maturity issue between management, younger talent, and veterans giving the younger generation advice.

I love how quickly the narrative always becomes "these young punks won't listen". Two sides to the coin. Does the narrative really change though? JR, Billy Gunn, Regal, and Danielson have all said nobody likes to take advice there and that the young wrestlers don't like training.

JR, Billy Gunn, Regal, and Danielson have all said nobody likes to take advice there and that the young wrestlers don't like training. I really should've elaborated lol, what I wrote does not describe what I was thinking. My bad. You're 100% correct, that is a common theme in AEW, and Regal saying it hasn't changed that narrative ta all. It's a common theme I hear in coaching a lot these days, outside of wrestling too. (I coach athletics, but I hear it from older coaches in other sports as well). What I was thinking, was that in a lot of cases (not necessarily in that of Regal or any of the above, but it also could be in their cases) there is also an onus on the coach to learn how to adapt to newer generations and the way they operate. It seems to be a common trend that as coaches in anything get older, they find themselves becoming a bit archaic in their approach, and that the "young punks" don't listen or take advice anymore. Some definitely defy this and continue to adapt to younger generations and coach for like 50 years, but a lot struggle to adapt and fade away. I even see this in older coaches trying to mentor younger coaches. People aren't interested in buying what they're selling. So what I really meant was that anytime a coach isn't getting the results or the buy in they want, the narrative from the coach always seems to become "These young kids don't take advice". A lot of the time, their is a responsibility on the coach to learn how to adapt and build buy-in. There are certainly people that just aren't coachable too. They cycle from coach to coach to coach and never stick. Probably are a few that type in the locker room too. But, thankfully, they seem to be pretty rare, at least in my sport. I can only really think of 3 locally in the last decade.

The idea that EC3 is close to Regal is odd to me. Their personalities don't feel like they line up together. I can't picture them texting each other. lol

I’m sure he got it from somewhere. Either the man himself or whisper down the lane.

Regal was a huge reason why NXT succeeded and it wasns't bc they were letting the boys fight and bite each other backstage, they also wouldn't put ppl on TV who were not ready and wrestle unconscious, his name says it all, he went from class to "working progress" and a millionare boss who hugs like a creep so it very credible.
I don't think he was signed to a contract but instead an appearances deal or maybe they agreed to a trial period or just a handshake.
It is exciting to think about what talent reports he will bring for Triple H and essentially start building the bridge!

They just seem like unlikely friends from the outside looking in, is all. Just a visual thing.
