Darby Allins Coffin Drop compared to Pac's Red Arrow is like comparing a pellet gun to an assault rifle.

Another solid episode, and every week it feels like the time goes by fast. I enjoyed the BATB theme, but my life won't be complete unless they have the floating ring in a pool at some point. C'mon Tony, spend that TNT money!

JR is so old he keeps calling him "Baretta" when poor Excalibur and others have painstakingly tried to get across that the guy is known simply as "Trent" now.
JR don't give a f*()&

They really need to get rid of Tony Schiavone. He talks over JR and Excalibur a lot and tries to get his chit in at their expense constantly. Apparently he ain’t learned anything from the last time he was on TNT Tony is a great commentator, recognizable voice and is great at calling matches. The real reason clashing with others on commentary is there are 3 guys doing it, when did this become a thing in wrestling? What happened to 2? One that was supposed to be heel and one that was face and both constantly bickered at each other while rooting for their respective party. Honestly I can't like Excalibur. He is so annoying and reminds me of emil jay from CZW, just an annoying dork and even worse he wears the ugliest luchadore mask ever conceived

I think Excalibur is a breath of fresh air! He's articulate, knowledgeable, doesn't scream down the big moments, pays attention to the action in the ring and still is able to add colour about the various gimmicks or history of the combatants, and he calls moves correctly! He's one of the BEST commentators I've heard in wrestling for a long time. JR is fondly remembered for the attitude era - STONE COLD STONE COLD HE WHIPPED HIM LIKE A GOVERNMENT MULE STONE COLD STONE COLD! But I'll never consider JR a great commentator, he ALWAYS gets names wrong, he calls "The Hawk" Animal and Animal "The Hawk" back in '85 and insists on saying "Baretta" when he's just "Trent" in 2020! This man will never change. but we are all entitled to our opinions! you love death matches and they definitely aren't my cup of tea I do agree with you about the 2-man booth though. I miss those days of Monsoon/Heenan or Vince/Ventura As for Tony, I think there's either an inside joke or a very subtle sub story going on with AEW's commentary team because I've notice over the weeks them playing him up as a rich playboy persona - having a huge social media following etc. I'm sure it's just a rib, but it's nice to see AEW trying to give the commentators some kind of story to play with.

In reality AEW probably brought him on because of the WCW reference. I mean come on, same channel as TNT, naming it "dynamite" to go along with WCW's "Nitro" theme, Bash at the beach event, DDP, trying to war with WWE. Yea not a coincidence. I love to hear JRs voice as I grew up listening to him call the action but you are right, his constant mistakes irk me while watching and some are just cringy.

I'm excited to see Taz back on tv. There's so much announcing talent out there who were never going to be hired by WWE.
Only downside is that kills any chance of a Taz Mattel figure, but so be it.

Not too crazy about Taz being on board for commentary, and I might be in the minority here saying that I think his commentary back in the day on Smackdown and later in TNA absolutely sucked.
If I have to hear him say the phrases “goozled”, “yam bags”, or “mush” one more time, Im gonna lose my sh*t

You'll probably find Tazz was signed for the rumored 2nd AEW show.

That's sad when half the arena is empty. It's actually an entertaining 2 hours, better than WWE's 3-hour slugfest of RAW.

I will definitely go to a live show if they ever come near my city. Also great news on Taz, his voice is also very nostalgic.
