Superstar Steve Austin
Following his terrible exit from WCW in which he did nothing but job,Steve Austin would begin his road to super stardom in ECW during the fall of 1995 as ''Superstar'' Steve Austin. It was there in which he let loose on WCW and Erich Bischoff in promos. With Heyman giving em the green light, Austin was told to speak his mind and that's exactly what he did here. With that he was thrusted right into the ECW Title picture with him feuding with both Sandman and then champ Mikey Whipwreck. He would have two chances at winning the big prize, once at N2R when he lost to Mikey and December 2 Dismember in 3 way dance. It was during the latter in which his long blond hair was gone with him having short hair which would be bald by early 96.Following the 3 way dance he would leave ECW and enter the WWF as the Ringmaster and the rest as they say is history. Overall...Short but crucial run here for Austin. With how bad his run in WCW ended,he needed to nail it here and he did in spades. The promos he would cut were memorable and a big sign of what was to come with him carving his name in the history books. This brief ECW run will always be a pivotal time in his career. What are your memories/thoughts of Superstar Steve Austin? Share them below!

Ahh. I went to see an ECW show in Reading, PA at Bodyslams Arena Dec 1, 1995. Tommy Dreamer was supposed to take on Steve Austin, but Austin no-showed. Dreamer gets on the mic & tells us that "Austin isn't here because he's sold out & is on his way to The WWF." He ended up taking on Tom Pritchard. Funny thing was, Pritchard got lots of "You sold out" chants because he was soon to be WWF bound as well.

Piper is definitely must see. I Set the DVR to record the Savage Autopsy as well as the Benoit and Chyna ones that aired prior to the Macho Man one. Unfortunately only Benoit and Macho’s recorded. This weeks looks interesting as well. (John Wayne) if my father in law didn’t pass in December he would be interested in the John Wayne one.

And he was going right back in as Boddydonna Zip.
