Young StallionsThese two youngsters would start teaming up together in early 87 but it wasnt until the Fall until they got an identity in the form of the Young Stallions. It was on SNME that September when they would challenge the Hart Foundation for the belts but in the end would come up short. At the first SSeries they would be apart of team Strike Force as they fought team Hart Foundation. In the end they would survive along with the Killer Bees. To kick off 1988 at the first Rumble they would do battle with The Islanders in a 2/3 falls match with the heels picking up the win in 2 straight falls. At WM IV they would both participate in the opening battle royal with Roma making it near the end but coming up short in winning the trophy. Following this they would just be another babyface team on the roster with them facing the likes of Demolition, Bolsheviks and Rougeaus. Their last big match together would be at SSeries that year when they would once again appear on the big tag match as apart of team Powers of Pain as they fought team Demolition. they wouldnt be survivors this year however as they would be eliminated by the Bolsheviks. By 89 the team was pretty much done with them teaming up only here and there but for the most part they were used as jobbers in the single ranks. Roma would get a change of pace in 90 with the formation of P&G but poor Powers would be a jobber until the end of his run. Overall...Another case of a solid team but a team that were never going to get the belts at the end of the day. I did like the fact they faced off against each other on Superstars I believe when Roma teamed with Herc. Nice nod there. What are your memories of the Young Stallions? Share them below!

When I first started watching wrestling in 1992, Jim Powers was appearing on Superstars, wrestling challenge etc getting beat. I used to buy old videos and discovered the Young Stallions. I got really confused about JP’s role as he had his own ring music, used to be a star and had a certain look. My young, naive self believed he was on a losing streak and would come good. One of my favourite jobbers.
Will always have a soft spot for the team, they belong to that glorious era of tag team wrestling!
Thanks for the review Brain!

I've never understood the Paul Roma hate. But I was too young also I was a fan of almost every tag team he was in. He was a natural heel and should've been a much bigger star.

I wasnt much a fan of Powers but I really like Roma. He had a great look especially once he slicked the hair back and teamed with Herc. Power & Glory is a very underrated tag team IMO.

Maybe its because I was a huge Rockers fan, but Power & Glory was my least favorite Paul Roma tag team, LOL. Pretty Wonderful was always one of my all time favorites.

Still one of the best tag finishers of all time I was watching a show recently and they hit it on Hogan! I was SHOCKED lol. I saw them put him on the top turnbuckle and I was saying aloud, there’s NO WAY….this isn’t happening. Granted, he immediately got up and beat them 4 seconds later haha. But I was surprised Hulk took a superplex, that’s gotta be one of few times that happened.

Power and Glory could have been tag champs and would have fit in perfectly If Road Warriors and Nasty Boys never came in, maybe they could have had a run

Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase
It was during the Summer of 87 in which we would see vignettes of a new superstar entering the Federation. A very wealthy one at that.Flanked by his bodyguard Virgil, we would see Ted DiBiase always get his way when he would do things like make a kid dribble a basketball,Make a lady bark like a dog and make a young RVD kiss his feet all for a shot at his money.Late that year his main mission was to buy the WWF Title but in the end that didnt come to be.He would come close to winning the belt in the tourney at WM IV but would fall short in the finals to Randy Savage. That Spring he was still hell bent on getting the belt but would once again fall short on the house show circuit. The feud with Mach/Hogan would climax at the first SSlam when him and Andre would lose in the main event with Jesse Ventura as the ref. That Fall he would find himself in a feud with newly turned babyface Hercules after failing to buy the man. This feud would last until early 89 in which he would defeat the chain swinging superstar on the Main Event. At WM V he was in a throwaway match against Brutus Beefcake in which both guys were counted out. Donald Trump was eying up that Million Dollar Belt I must add.His next big feud would start that Spring with Jake Roberts after attacking him on Superstars and kayfabe injuring em.This feud would last until the following Mania at Skydome with the two having a fine match that got a wave during it.Jake would win by countout but wouldnt get the belt in the end. He did hand out some C notes post match though. His next feud would be a short lived one with the Big Boss Man also stemming from Mania. It's a feud that never had an ending as was quitely dropped that Summer. Next big feud here would be against Dusty Rhodes after for weeks leading up to SSlam we would see Sapphire receiving expensive gifts from an ''anonymous benefactor''. This would turn out to be the money man at SSlam. This feud(Which saw 2 debuts in Dustin Rhodes and Undertaker respectively) would last until the Rumble that January when him and Virgil would defeat the Father and son pair from Texas. Following the match the implosion with Virgil would finally happen with the two feuding next. A feud that would see Roddy Piper and as we would see at WM VII, Sensational Sherri who would become the new valet for Mr. DiBiase. The feud would heat up at SSlam that year when Virgil would defeat his former employer to win the money belt but it would be short lived as that Fall prior to SSeries thanks to Repo Man, DiBiase would get it back. By 92, he would start his final stretch of his career by teaming up with IRS to form Money Inc. With Jimmy Hart by their side they would defeat LOD at a house show that February with them afterward feuding with newly turned babyfaces Natural Disasters at WM VIII. For remainder of the year they would lose the belts to the Disaster that Summer but regain by the Fall thanks to the Headshrinkers. 1993 would see Jimmy Hart leave em after they attacked Brutus Beefcake on Raw with the briefcase. This would bring back Hulk Hogan for a showdown at WM IX with the heels winning by countout.Money Inc's last feud would be with the Steiners that Summer with them losing the belts to me,regaining em before losing em right back to the Michigan natives. The cage match they had on TV that Summer is a great hidden gem. His last match in the company would come at SSlam that year when he would lose to Razor Ramon. After a brief stint in Japan he would retire by years end.He would return to the WWF at the Rumble in 94 as a commentator.A role he would have up until the Spring of 95 as he did color on Wrestling Challenge. Also during this time he would be the leader of his own Corporation which I covered here in the GR in the past(page 92 check it out!) Overall...One of the best heels of all time without question. A role he played to perfection.Just a guy with the whole package. What are your memories of the Million Dollar Man? Share them below!

He was always one of my favorites and I’d have to say I can’t remember a match I routed against him. (Maybe a match or two when he was in Money inc..) One of my favorite things was when he would stick a hundred dollar bill in the opponents mouth after he beat him
