I wish Rene Dupree had a full career. Tremendous potential, and young. He could've been at the Cena/ Orton level of stardom had he not faced backstage issues. Great gimmick, too. I thought he could've been a tremendous heel at the mid-top of the card consistently. He's only 35; so never say never for a return. Though, a return's very doubtful in my opinion.

While I am glad he never jumped ship part of me would have loved to have seen Sting come to the WWE in the early 90’s.

Buff Bagwell, I mean it was such a disaster and bad timing and just why in the world did they have a WCW main event on RAW it was just wrong the way they handled it. Maybe if they brought him in earlier, it would've been interesting seeing who could work with or maybe have him join the Radicalz first.

Good topic. I'm gonna pick 2 ,quite different, guys. Lol. 1. Sting....whether it would have been early 90s as PJ stated , or even an extended run of what we got in 2015, the Icon deserved more from a WWE run. And I would have loved to have seen how far he would have gone had he jumped to Vince at any time previously. However, I'm ok with him staying true to WCW for the whole run. So realistically I wish he would have made the jump to WWE a little earlier than he did instead of hanging on to TNA for as long as he did.
The second one is Waylon Mercy. Danny Spivey's gimmick that debuted in 95 had a TON of potential. And Spivey was a pretty decent hand on top of being a bigger guy. Plus, he really seemed to sink his teeth into this character. Again, injury cuts short what could have been. I dont think he would have been WWF champion at any point, but I do believe there was a lot that could have manifested in some great storylines down the road. Taker,Mankind, even HBK fueds into 96 would have been great imo.
EDIT: Honorable mention goes to Mr Kennedy. I have always wondered how far he would have gone if not for being so injury prone. And depending on who you listen to, sloppy in the ring.

Even though he had a full career I woulda loved to see a healthy HBK from 98-02. He was a character made for the Attitude Era and not counting his sporadic appearances as Commissioner he missed the entire thing.

As much as it would've been fun to see Shawn around, the New Generation top stars like Shawn, Bret, Razor & Diesel needed to be gone for the new stars of Attitude to take over, Austin, Rock, Mankind, HHH, Kane etc. Shawn's politics would've been noticeable and I doubt the Rock would've gotten the big push.

Ric Flair. Would have loved him to arrive a year early and have a long on/off feud with Hogan lasting until WM8. Then see him mix it up with Bret Hart for a couple of years, to really put him over as the new generation superstar

"Exotic" Adrian Street. He was Goldust in the late 70s-early 80s. So much charisma & he could draw immense amounts of heat. I think he talked about why he never got to appear in the WWF in one of his books. I'll have to re-read them to find out.
Gino Hernandez. This man was the ultimate heel. His matches in World Class & Southwest Championship Wrestling are amazing. To have so much talent at such a young age & to draw so much heat. It's a pity his demons got the best of him.
Nikita Koloff. I recently saw in a shoot interview that he turned down a WWE offer. He didn't want to be repackaged as one of "Vince's creations" & at the time, he was looking to quietly get out of the business.

Even if Sting would've gone in 2002/2003- I think we still would've seen multiple WWE Title runs & a series of matches with The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Brock Lesnar, Eddie Guerrero, etc.

I'll always wish Bret never went to WCW and spent his entire career with the WWF.

Taz for me, really liked his work in ECW and thought he was a good fit for the attitude era. The build-up to his debut was great, and the match with him and Kurt at the Rumble was done really well. Shame he got injured.

A couple that have already been mentioned here certainly make the list - Taz, Sting, and Raven being chief among them. At the risk of sounding like an ECW mark (spoiler: I am), I'll add Justin Credible to my list. I thought he was he the cat's ass during his run atop ECW, and I know I'm in the minority in that respect, but man was I so let down with his WWE run.

I'll say Brian Pillman. Imagine Pillman circa late 80s/early 90s work wise with his loose cannon gimmick in the WWF during the late 90s.

Raven could have been huge in WWE, he should have been a Main Eventer during the Attitude Era and could have been a Main Eventer & one of the faces of the Ruthless Aggression Era.
WWE really, REALLY screwed up with Raven.

Whether he went to JCP or WWF, he would have been a draw as a heel and probably would have had main event runs for Crockett. A semi-main in the IC picture in WWF would have been most likely, but if he held off past the Hogan era for a WWF run, he very well could have had a Main event run there with Hart or HBK. He would have still been just young enough for that push at that point. A life and a career tragically cut short with him.
